11 family members had and Independence class boat with 7 bedrooms for 7 days. The staff at State Dock were fantastic from the gentleman coordinating the unloading the to the captains to the cleaning crews. Everyone was very nice. The boat was in good shape a rental and the motor ran well. We did have some issues with garbage in a back hole from a previous rental not being removed and it disconnected the wire from Bilge which caused it to become waited down with water. But the Jaime came out and fixed us up and got everything working.See more..
Rented a double decker pontoon from the Marina for the weekend. The boats were in good shape, motors were strong and had no issues. The staff were VERY helpful as well. The Marinas going through some changes and upgrades and it all looks good! Keep up the good work!See more..
I found this last minute on our road trip and Kristen was an amazing guide! She was very accommodating to our schedule. We met at her farm menagerie and my kids loved seeing all the animals. Off we went down the road to our adventure. We started with our helmets and headlights down a creek looking for fossils. Then into the cave we went to explore. It was nothing like anything we had experienced climbing through cracks, crevices and different levels. We even ate a delicious lunch inside. This is an learning experience and fun expedition my family will never forget. See more..

Great kayak trip! Water levels were good, and it was a quiet and peaceful trip down the Red River. 8 miles, took just over 2 hours to complete, longer if you stop to swim or have a lunch on a sandbar, etc. Some smaller rapids that were enjoyable. Saw a deer mom and 2 babies, cranes, turtles, and ducks. Beautiful scenery along the way with large boulders and a jumping off rock. Weather was perfect, just prior to a huge rainstorm. I held an employee TEAM building training exercise on a houseboat rented from Safe Harbor at Burnside Marina. For me the entire experience was a success because of Juanita. AKA (Nita). Last year when I contemplated this experience she (Nita) took it upon herself to show me around the marina, gave me a tour of a boat her team was preparing for a turnaround rental and was friendly and professional. This year at the pickup she again right there, right on. As a matter of fact she called the moment the boat was ready for an early pickup if I wanted. The next day she arranged to deliver lunch supplies that I needed for my group and acted like this above and beyond customer service was the norm for Burnside. The support of the staff as I returned the boat was very good. I was apprehensive about this type venue for a meeting, but because things went so smoothly I am considering it again for next year's semi-annual conference.See more..

We planned a last min trip. I am sure there are better alternatives to Safe Harbor. I recommend doing that. Our cabin had close to no lighting. I unpacked with my phone flash light. The entire cabin was ridiculously under lit. You couldn’t find a thing it was so dark. They should probably tell you its BYO lights. There were mouse droppings in the silverware. All of the wood is warped and none of the doors close. The internet never worked and we missed scheduled meetings. We called and they never fixed it. We rented a boat and none of the doors latched so it was open doors on the water when you’re driving. There was a plaque on the stearing column that said the boat was due Back at 5pm EST. When we got in it was actually due back at 5pm Central Time. So we were shorted an hour. We brought that up and it was shrugged off. The boat we rented from State Dock was nice, new, clean and safe. The staff at Safe Harbor was very friendly. However, it seems cleanliness, safety And customer service are not concerns to management. Also behind the rental office and rental slips it is a lake of floating trash. Its as if the boats are cleaned by tossing everything in the lake. Its disgusting and heartbreaking.See more..

We were fortunate enough to spend some time on this beautiful lake while visiting friends. While looking at things to do while we were there I came across Kentucky Lake Adventures. You can’t be by this beautiful lake and not rent a boat or a wave runner. I did both! Dave Malone, the owner, brought the boat right to our dock. He was very accommodating and his boat was new and super nice! We had an awesome day tooling around on the boat, relaxing and looking at all the beautiful homes. We stopped for lunch at the Marina, and rode the wave runner all around the lake. I would totally recommend calling Kentucky Lake Adventures next time you have the chance to visit. You won’t meet a nicer guy and he has a great selection of rentals!See more..

I was here, a few days, to preview the lake with my son, then, to support him as he competed in the Bassmaster Collegiate Championship. Massive parking for your trailer and tow vehicle and public toilets convenient to the ramp. Wide ramp and good traffic flow... They launched 89 boats in about 30 min! The restaurant is great, though I only have experience with breakfast... Very pleasant, well stocked, store with pleasant women to help you. You can rent a floating house here! It doesn't leave the dock, and looks like a town home, but is floating. You can't get anymore waterfront than that! I highly recommend this location whether you rent an accommodation, want a great spot to launch your boat, or just want to take a potty or lunch break while boating.See more..
