The Kenny Perry Country Creek golf course is a relaxing place for a golf outing. The staff at the clubhouse are polite and helpful, the grounds are attractive, and the atmosphere is relaxing. The course is just a short drive from restaurants, downtown Franklin, and other local attractions. There are several annual golf memberships currently available (no doubt changes from year to year). Membership includes greens fees for one year, however it does not include entry fees for official KPCC tournaments or events. Great service. Cart guys met me in parking lot. Lady in clubhouse was great. Tip sheet to help you figure out where to hit. Some have written it's tricked up a bit. Several holes fit this description, particularly #4 a brutally tough par 5. Some of the cartpaths are a bit scary as well. But an out of the ordinary golf course is fun and this one qualifies 100%. I suppose you they'd let you walk, but you will be sorry you did. 200 foot drop on one, well over 100 foot drop on several others, and several equal climbs means this one demands a cart. The round took quite some time due to the difficulty.See more..

Beautiful modern cottages with all the amenities including very comfortable king sized beds, hot shower/tubs and full kitchen. Great wood burning fireplace wood included. Cottage 102 is right on the small lake. Lots of birds: we saw hawks, a bald eagle, woodpeckers, including large Pilates , tufted titmouse, blue jays, kingfisher, cardinal, blue heron and many more. They came every morning all at once at about 9am. (I guess they are late risers). Quiet, tranquil, and relaxing! Loved it!!See more..

4.0Paintsville Country Club(7 reviews) - Beautiful Golf Course Golf Courses The Paintsville Country Club is one of the oldest golf courses in eastern Kentucky. It is an 18-hole course with the front side consisting of hills and hollows and the back side being flat with water on most of the holes. The most interesting holes are numbers ten and seventeen. On each of these holes you have to drive your ball across The Big Sandy River. You then must cross a rustic swinging bridge to play holes number 10 through sixteen before crossing back to finish on seventeen and eighteen. The course is open to the public but tee times are required during the busy season. If you have never played this course you should definitely fit the time into your schedule! They host an Invitational Tournament every year around the second or third week in June for Pros and amateurs. THIS COURSE IS A MUST SEE!See more..

We played here as a family on Father's Day 2017. The actual layout is pretty nice and moderately challenging. The greens were just ok but the condition of the fairways, roughs and tee boxes were nearing the unacceptable. The women's tee box had some wispy grass that was ankle deep and the roughs and fairways very sparse with grass coverage. Cost was only $40 with cart on a Sunday morning so that was good but for weekend play not to have all the tee boxes cut was wierdSee more..

Visiting Lexington and looking for a good golf course we were advised to try Connemara Golf Course just 15 minutes from downtown. The staff, especially head pro and general manager Trey Scott, were very friendly and accommodating to visitors. The course looked easy but there was a little wind and the rough was tough. Coupled with fair but fast greens the course was a lot of fun. Look for the par 3 played into an old quarry area for a good challenge. Excellent food and a great selection of local brews (and bourbons!) topped off a great day.See more..

We would all like to thank Jason, Scott, Nancy, Jenny, Jeremy and all the amazing staff at the course for making this annual trip better and better. The course was in fantastic shape and greens were challenging. The facilities offer you everything you need while you are here. The food is good if you need a burger at the turn and anything else is available at the pro shop. Jason and his entire staff have welcomed us to the course and made us feel like one of the locals when we are here. We play all our rounds here and this year added one more. It's greens are fast but fair. Each have breaks that require a good read and putt. The Tees and Fairways are well maintained. The sand traps are not the best; but are ok. The Course is home to the Murray State golf teams and are well suited to any competitive play. The staff is exceptional. Will Snodgrass, a former Murray State player and current assistant golf coach, is a joy to talk with and provides excellent advice and service.
