4.0The Southgate House Revival(19 reviews) - Award for the best repurposing of an old church Spent 2-3 hours Concerts • Theaters • Theatre & Performances
This is the most interesting venue that I have ever seen. Not sure if the church's founders would be proud that their creation is still be used for this or not but it is a great music venue. Came here for Ironfest an event to memorialize a local legend Iron Mike that is put on every year here. This venue is perfect for this with their 3 stages - The Revival Stage upstairs - The Lounge Stage just inside the side door, which is the main entrance and the Sanctuary Stage in main body of the church. The old pipe organ in still in there and really adds to the ambiance of this venue. The staff here are very friendly and helpful. But its the setting that makes this place and is worth seeing in its own right. If you get a chance check this place out you won't be disappointed.See more..
We saw Dweezil Zappa play. The theater is fantastic. A standing only area in front of the stage. Then elevated table seating looking over the people standing. Then an elevated area behind the tables for standing. Two great cash bars and clean rest rooms. Very, very nice small venue for concerts. A lot of free nearby (less than a block) parking. Very safe area. It also has local dining places. We drove 75 miles to get there and will do it again.See more..

5.0Meadowgreen Park Music Hall(5 reviews) - Great place to see your favorite bluegrass band Concerts Meadowgreen Park Music Hall is at the bottom of our hill across Red River and in the fall we can hear the bluegrass music if we are outside. This year so far they have no spring festival scheduled and the fall festival is on 10-11-12 September 2015 and the regular inside shows start on the first Saturday in October and from then on, every Saturday night until April of the next year. The regular shows have two bands and two shows. They have an outside stage and an indoor barn with theater seating. They have some of the biggest bluegrass bands in bluegrass music that come and play there. They also have limited RV space with electric $15.00 per night and electric, water and sewer is $30.00 per night. They serve food like hot dogs, hamburgers, Ale8's and other soda drinks.
