We had a blast! They are currently under construction, so it’s by no means “swanky”. The staff were totally helpful and attentive. Balls kept getting stuck, so that was a little frustrating but other than that, the atmosphere was really nice. Good music, not too loud or obnoxious there. Reasonably priced for the rents and the games!! Would definitely return when in the area again.See more..

My colleagues and I had been working our butts off in Beattyville yesterday and decided to check out the Lee County Recreation Center. Man, is this place incredible. Owned by a ministry, the center has a full gym, pool tables, ping pong tables, foosball, and a bowling alley! Not to mention an awesome place to stop and grab a bite to eat! This is a fantastic local place to chill out and take a break from traveling, work, or even to go out to and is a great asset to the community as all of the workers are very kind and helpful. For several summers, my kids have been able to bowl several games free with only paid shoe rental thanks to a kids free bowling site displayed at various local Louisville bowling alleys. We have bowled at Ten Pin Lanes in past summers and that has been fine and enjoyable. However with how busy that area of Shelbyville Rd gets and the parking hassles that often ensue, we decided to try Kingpin Lanes this summer. The workers greeted us, scanned the bowling vouchers, took the payment for shoe rentals, and quickly got all 3 kids set up on a lane in the glow bowl area. We ordered a cheeseburger kid meal that was reasonably priced 'and actually tasted great' according to my son. Also shared mozzarella sticks which were delivered promptly and got. Kids had fun bowling, it was nice and cool inside and appeared to be clean and well managed. We will be returning!See more..

None of them have bowled much so I knew it was going to be a real journey. The lady at the desk was very helpful, she got us situated with our lane and then was nice enough to come down when she seen we had issues with the automatic scoring. 3 kids with 2 games each and show rental was right around $30.00.See more..

It was near lunch time and I was not particularly hungry, but sat at the counter and ordered a Chili Dog and Coffee. The coffee was hot and had a good taste, not over powering. When my meal came I was surprised at how much was on the plate. After eating my meal and a second cup of coffee I can honestly say it was the best Chili Dog ever. But now there are new owners and after meeting them I am even more excited to take this years mission group there. Smiles and a real southern welcome greeted us on our mission pre trip.
