Made a special side trip to visit this beautiful and historic church as we were passing through. Even the non-Catholic members of my party enjoyed walking around inside. They have lovely volunteers willing to show you around, tell you the Cathedral's history and answer questions. Well worth a visit.See more..
I spent a four-day weekend in silent retreat at the Abbey of Gethsemani. I had a nice single room, three meals a day plus snacks, and 1200 acres of gorgeous land on which to spend time with mysef. It was perfect. Book four months in advance. There is no actual cost, but donations are appreciated. There are seven worship services a day, which are competely optional. If you don't want to stay overnight, there are lots of areas open to the public to hang out in contemplation.See more..
Built in 1889 and modeled after a cathedral church in Germany, this magnificent Gothic structure features many interesting architectural details and is still an operating church that serves the Catholic community of Bowling Green.See more..

Such a beautiful space that is completely quiet and serene. Plenty of parking although it's a bit hidden - look for the signs. Not completely handicap accessible, but still worth a visit. Go and enjoy this great space.See more..
This cemetery houses the remains of noteworthy Northern Kentuckians but also the relics of a Civil War battery- Shaler Battery. There are signs around the cemetery to give descriptions of a few of the historic people buried here including Congressman Brent Spence and two medal of honor recipients. It has a soldier's lot that is maintained by the VA. It is the largest cemetery and probably the oldest in Campbell County. Also it was used as the setting for the opening scenes of the movie Rain Man.See more..
