General Butler State Resort Park is a beautiful park! They have camping available, and their is a lodge hosting a the Two Rivers Restaurant, and an place to view overlook the area. There used to be a golf course, but that is no longer operating, and it seems like it's really be gone downhill from a visit there 4 years ago. Almost always saw deer somewhere in the park. There's paddle boats available though we didn't use them and there's a ramp/deck you can access from the road to go fishing. Beautiful views! This morning there was a haze over the water and it just looked so beautiful! I heard there's a new manager and looking forward to see how she will improve the park to bring it back to life! Always see people coming and going...whether just for a ride through the park, or up to the lodge, or the campgrounds. See more..
  2. 5.0 Greenway Trail (20 reviews)
    - Go GreenWay for a physical and mental reset.

If getting outside in a safe, beautiful and having varied scenery is what you are looking for, the Greenway trail is a great option. You can walk, jog, cycle or even rollerblade and walk with a stroller on the cement portions of the trail. One can access the trail from the scenic Paducah Riverfront, Noble Park or Stuart Nelson Park. We have biked from the riverfront to Stuart Nelson, played frisbee golf and then stopped at Dairy Queen (across from Noble Park) for lunch before biking back to the riverfront. It's a great way to spend family time and enjoy many free activities. See more..

    - Great moderate hike

Trail entrance is across from parking. Don’t make mistake we did and hike to someone’s backyard. The trail is technical with stream crossings with rocks and roots. Need to rappel several feet near falls. No experience required but athleticism needed. See more..
  4. 4.0 Skullbuster Mountain Bike Trail (2 reviews)
    - Fun little trail at the edge of nowhere
    Spent 1-2 hours Biking Trails
    Skullbuster Mountain Bike Trail image
Fun trail for intermediate riders. Mostly well-designed, although some sections need outsloping to control water flow. Work gets done regularly; I'm not sure by whom. Trail gnomes, perhaps. Although the trail itself seems removed from civilization, there are restaurants within a few miles and Georgetown, KY is only 20 minutes away. Don't let the ferocious signage deter you; the trail is on private property but is open to the public. The abundant roots, rocks, and clay soil are super slick when wet so let it dry a few days after a rain before riding. It's basically one loop with a couple of spurs to parking areas so you can't get lost. See more..
