If your team is planning on a private 5 hour or more paranormal investigation during the summer months, bring plenty to drink. Air conditioning is not turned on, there are no fans on, and the windows are not opened during your investigation. The building is older and not many upgrades over the years in terms of paranormal investigations. You will need to wipe down equipment if you are setting it on tables, the floor, or other areas due to many sticky surfaces from beverages served during their open hours. Laura is the staff person who will be with you during the investigation. She gives you minimal information unless you would like more. She is also great at giving you your space to do what you need to do. We appreciated this. An important note - don't wear sandals or flip flops on the investigations in the basement, due to some broken glass, uneven surface, and some spiders. All in all, we know it is active and appreciate that Bobby Mackey still allows paranormal investigators to come out and investigate. The daily special hamburger was a diamond in the rough it was extremely delicious. We were 3 couples from different areas in WI heading to the Smoky Mtns. and this was our rendezvous spot before heading down the road to Danville to spend the night. What a great spot to meet! The beers were good, (one was great), the people in there were friendly and informative and the owner/server was helpful and friendly. One of our couples was late and lost and either the bartender or a local patron took the phone and got them here! They also have wine, which the wives enjoyed.
