The Grill at Grider Hill
It had been years since we had eaten at the restaurant at Grider Hill.We had heard from others st the dock about how good the food was.They weren’t wrong.The pizza and wings are outstanding.We visited again for the Breakfast buffet and the It was as good also.If your on Lake Cumberland and anywhere close to the dam stop in.You won’t be disappointed.

Rent the boat not the campground
Our story felt like it was straight out of a novel. Had a wonderful day on the lake, the double decker pontoon was amazing, it was great having a grill ready with propane already on the boat. Didn't have much of a training for a first time boat driver, but off we went (got pulled over and told we can't dangle our feet off of boat while in motion put was ok after that). When it came time for camping that night, the camp grounds we had rented (2 of them because we had 3 tents) were down the side of a mountain. It was hard for a lot of us older people and especially on the one in the wheel chair. Everything was ok until the rain started and filled all of our tents until the air mattress was floating. Then getting back up that mountain in the rain was impossible with the water coming at you like a water fall off the hills above. It was very scary and it took 3 of us the get the wheelchair up. I left the tents and decided never to go camping again. It was the best of times and the worst of times.
