Great Family vacation, Love Lake Cumberland
11 family members had and Independence class boat with 7 bedrooms for 7 days. The staff at State Dock were fantastic from the gentleman coordinating the unloading the to the captains to the cleaning crews. Everyone was very nice. The boat was in good shape a rental and the motor ran well. We did have some issues with garbage in a back hole from a previous rental not being removed and it disconnected the wire from Bilge which caused it to become waited down with water. But the Jaime came out and fixed us up and got everything working.

Great boating experience, masks for employees would have been nice.
We had pontoon reservations for 2 different days. The rates can not be beat! When we arrived for the 2nd day, they didn't have any more of the smaller pontoons that we had made a reservation for, so they upgraded us to a nicer one. Sometimes it pays to be late!!! It made our day. The lake is stunning to spend the day on. I am usually not thrilled to swim in lakes, but this lake is very clear and no sea grass. My only disappointment is that employees were not wearing masks. I know that they are outside, but they were way to close to us not to have masks on. We also took a shuttle up to the parking lot. The driver didn't wear a mask and there was an employee riding that when we were on our way, said she wasn't feeling well.....

I would still do it again
Just came back from a 4 days houseboat rental, actually 3 days since we were supposed to check in at 2:30pm and didn't get on the water until 6pm. I had read reviews so I knew waiting was going to happen. They said they would call when we could get on boat, wish they had a pager system since phones had terrible reception I had to keep checking to see if I missed a call. They are supposed to refund us a little off for the wait, but we will see (will take 10-14 days). The back of the boat where the ladder is was green and slippery one of our crew slipped and almost ripped his toe off. Mostly it was a good time other than that. The worst part was the bathrooms, not only were the toilets so close to the sink that you couldn't spread your legs to wipe but they stopped up with every use. I was Queen of the plunger unfortunately because I was the only one who could get it to go down every time, not what I wanted to do during vacation. When packing I would suggest bringing pot holders and paper towel, neither are provided but needed.
