Took my husband and our three kids, ages 11, 13, and 15 on a trail ride with Tracey, and we had a wonderful time. She took the time to explain everything about getting on and off of the horse, and was patient, caring, and clear about all of her instructions. She clearly knows her stuff. The ride itself was beautiful, through what felt like miles of forest and meadows. Her animals are well taken care of, and the horses don't just plod along nose to tail like you get in some places--riders get a chance to actually guide the animals along the trails. I'd definitely recommend this place!See more..
2.5Montana Fur Trading Company(2 reviews) - Not Just Another Cheesy Gift Shop Speciality & Gift Shops • Art Galleries We wandered into this store, and were amazed by the nice selection of authentic Native American crafts - including pottery, jewelry, and kachinas from southwestern tribes and artisans. They also have animal hides of every variety. The proprietors were friendly and well-versed in the origins of their merchandise. 2.5The Owl Bar(2 reviews) - Dive-Bar with Old West Atmosphere & Attitude Bars & Clubs
TOB is located in old Goosetown neighborhood in east Anaconda. Most customers were locals and bikers and dive-bar tourists like us. Interesting signs not only cover the walls but also covered the ceiling. Our bartender was friendly, had the full beard, hippy look and knew interesting info about the Owls history. It's officially the oldest bar in Anaconda since their cross street rival The Sladich bar closed several years back. Supposedly got its name back in the 1880's because it was frequented by ore Smelters that worked the night shifts. No stools back then; you stood at the bar to drink. There was a separate side for women with a bell to signal when a beer was needed? One of his stories was an obvious citified person ordered a martini, so he handed them an olive in a beer; told them it was a Montana martini. Also, the restrooms, while not circa 1880, did look well-used by bar patrons over the decades.See more..

2.5Great Bear Adventure(2 reviews) - Guarantees Bear Visit Spent < 1 hour Nature & Wildlife Areas If you want to guarantee a visit with some bears, this is a must do. They have 3 black bears that play in the water, get fed with honey looking treats and walk around the area where you drive your car through. They do not rush you to go through so you can spend as much time with the bears from your car as you want. The bears look very healthy and content.See more..
2.5Belton Bridge(2 reviews) - A bridge to the past Bridges
The bridge was built in 1920 and played a critical role in the early days of Glacier National Park. From 1920 to 1938 it served as the western entrance to the park. For several years in the 1930 it was the link to the Going -to-the-Sun Road. The road was the first joint project between the National Park Service and the Bureau of Public Roads. While it no longer carries vehicular traffic, it still provides great views of the Middle Fork Flathead River as well as the rugged surrounding area. On the north side of the bridge is the South Boundary Trailhead which gives access to three other trails; Lincoln Creek, Harrison Creek and Nyack Creek. There is also a wide path on the north side heading west which is part of the South Boundary Trail , for more views. This is an easy adventure.See more..
2.0Fat Fender Freddy's(1 review) - Just a local bar with mediocre drinks, not an "attraction". Bars & Clubs This is more of a locals hangout. They can't seem to keep a restaurant, even though Garcia's had great food. Atmosphere is old and dingy on the bar side. This place could be great if they remodeled the indoors, opened up to the patio and volleyball pit in the back and revamped their drink menu. It's a great location coming from Yellowstone Park and Red Lodge and from Billings and Laurel. Something is obviously broken here. Maybe they could call Bar Rescue or Restaurant Impossible!See more..
