4.0Lodgepole Gallery and Tipi Village(75 reviews) - Exactly what camping is ; but service and friendliness would make it more worth it Speciality & Gift Shops • Art Galleries
You get exactly what you see in pictures. Lovely surroundings in the middle of nowhere with your basic camping. It really is just a tipi tent with sleeping bags and wandering through a grassy area to get to the ablutions, which were clean. It certainly is not glamping and if you are not at least exposed to minimal camping you will not enjoy it. This is where the 3/5 comes in and had there been the extra friendliness and welcoming I would have scored higher. It is unfortunate as we enjoyed the storytelling by Darryl, and he seemed easy-going, but unfortunately, his wife, who runs reception and check-in, was unfriendly and not welcoming at all. Reading other negative reviews, it seems that there is a common denominator, which is such a pity as it is such a unique experience, with so much potential.See more..

I loved this place SO much. My kids did too! Beautiful nature place, inspiring pieces of art. We were even invoted to participate at making a new scupture by the artist Bently. I loved how it doesn't feel like a commercialized place - as it can nowadays. I hope to see it growing and can visit again.See more..

4.5Going to the Sun Gallery(17 reviews) - Incredible customer service Spent < 1 hour Art Galleries
While visiting Whitefish as walked around the city exploring we found this incredible store called “Going to the Sun Gallery”. I saw a squashbloom necklace there that I fell in love with but didn’t buy when we were in the store. We left and moved on with our trip. I couldn’t get it off my mind and called the store and spoke with the owner Rochelle and she made my dreams come true by sending it to me in Florida. The package arrived today and it was packed with love and York mint patties. Wonderful customer service and a beautiful selection of merchandise a not to miss store in Whitefish. See more..

4.5Sandpiper Gallery(12 reviews) - NOT Your Typical Gift Shop Saturday: 10:00 AM - 4:00 PM Spent 1-2 hours Art Galleries
To understand this place, you would have to "dissect" its name (Sandpiper Art and Gift Gallery) : art gallery/gift gallery. As an art gallery, a significant amount of art (paintings, prints, sculpture, photography, etc.) and crafts (jewelry, pottery, etc.) are on display. And, of course, they are for sale (gift gallery). But, more than that, they offer art classes (kids, teens, adults). They also sponsor a full slate of events: show receptions and shows, workshops, and annual Art Festivals (Lake County and Flathead Lake). They are a non-profit, staffed by volunteers. This is no ordinary gift shop (as I first thought). If you are in the area, it is definitely worth a visit.See more..

Wow what a great place to go and listen to what really took place back in the day in Anaconda! Their history about immigrates coming through to work in the mines and stack is very interesting! Don't past this up ... there is no fee to take a few minutes to be in the "know" - but feel free to donate - there is still so much work to be done! See more..

5.0Ohrmann Museum & Gallery(7 reviews) - Sculpture and much more Spent < 1 hour Art Galleries • Art Museums
The Ohrmann Museum & Gallery showcases the work of life-long artist Bill Ohrmann. Bill grew up in the area, ranching, developing a love of nature, and nurturing his artistic talents. He worked in many media, including water color and oil paintings, wood sculpture, polymer clay, bronze, and welded steel. His imaginative wood carvings were his hallmark for many years. After retiring from ranching at the age of 78, he turned his focus to oil painting. His subject matter changed, too, from the pleasant ‘elk on a hillside’ to powerful images depicting his frustration with the human race when it comes to over-population, organized religion, cruelty to animals, and other social ills. Also at about this time he thought it would be challenging to create life sized, realistic sculptures of animals out of welded steel. Grizzly bears, bison, elk, and a full sized wooly mammoth came out of the shop. Examples of all these genre can be seen at the Museum, along with art work by his son, JohnSee more..

5.0Cawdrey Gallery(4 reviews) - Cawdrey Gallery Saturday: 10:00 AM - 6:00 PM Spent 1-2 hours Art Galleries
When gallery owner and artist Nancy Dunlop Cawdrey began painting in Montana about 25 years ago, she wanted to express how it really FELT living in Big Sky Country. The possibilities seemed endless. Five years later, Nancy along with her husband Steve and son Morgan, opened their first gallery in Bigfork, MT. In 2017 the gallery relocated to Whitefish and expanded to represent more than 20 artists working in over 10 different media. American Western art is not only about preserving a storied past—but it is also about capturing and reimagining our present.See more..

4.5F.J. Williams Primitive Western Art Gallery(2 reviews) - Mr. Williams is quite a eccentric person that you have to meet. Spent < 1 hour Art Galleries I've been to his house/studio 5 times and came away with one or two items (all I could afford at the time) and we loved the experience. This was in the 1975-1982 era.
