    This Chapel is a must! On a clear day LONE PEAK is in the background. And inside the Chapel is all this stain glass on the walls and especially the back wall.     Over 1000 people joined my family in recognizing the 150th anniversary of the establishment of Fort Shaw 8/12/17. This fort was established in 1867 to protect the Mullan Road running from the navigable headwaters of the Missouri River (Ft. Benton) to the navigable headwaters of the Columbia River. The fort was named after Col. Robert Shaw. There are several buildings that have survived or been restored. The cemetery has been named a National Historic Site. An interesting reflection on the history of the American West well worth the visit for history buffs. See more..
