  1. 5.0 Cathedral of St. Helena (612 reviews)
    - Wow - great church

We had visited thenStatenCapitol so walked to see the Cathedral. And it was definitely worth it. The cathedral is large (certainly by US standards) and picturesque outside, but it’s the inside that’s really impressive. Sadly so many churches remain locked when not in use these days, but this one was open. The altar is stunning as is the vaulted roof but the most breathtaking part is the stained glass. Well worth a visit. See more..

Our tour guide was fantastic! He was extremely knowledgeable and friendly, and we appreciated both his calm presence and obvious enthusiasm for history. He gave my 5yo a map of the house on a clipboard and invited her to find all the paper dolls hidden around the house, which kept her engaged throughout the tour. We learned a lot and enjoyed our visit enormously. See more..

Well-curated small museum that accurately depicts the Chinese experience in Butte. Located in a former Chinese store and noddle shop, the Mai Wah is well worth a visit. The docent was extremely informative and helpful. See more..

This has to be one of the prettiest outdoor spots in town! Probably the best outdoor wedding venue in the city limits, and a great place to bring lunch to and enjoy when the weather's nice. See more..
  6. 5.0 Rosebud County Courthouse (4 reviews)
    - Beautiful old courthouse

    Rosebud County Courthouse image
We love old county courthouses and saw this as a point of interest on our road atlas. The courthouse was built in 1914 and is just a really beauty. The sign outside gives some history about how this courthouse was fraught with controversy when it was first built, having cost considerable more than was budgeted. We went during the day and were able to walk around inside the court (except the court room because they were in session). There are great murals at the top and the men's restroom in the basement should be seen as the toilet has a water closet about the toilet (old style). A great short little visit! See more..
