We wanted to try something different and adventurous during our trip to Glacier National and happened upon Rock Climb Montana. We did the half day, afternoon rock climb at Stryker Rock. Since we are not experienced rock climbers, Lee the owner, advised the Stryker location as easier to learn and the opportunity for more climbs from easy to more difficult. Pat was our guide and he helped us with the basics of tying knots, securing our harness, how to position our feet and hands, and how to belay so more than one of us can climb at a time. Soon enough, we were climbing starting with a beginner climb and advancing as Pat choose the appropriate difficulty based on our individual abilities. Pat made sure we all had a fun experience but that we also challenged ourselves. Our family of 4 each had opportunities to climb to our content and he helped us get some great photos of our experience. Plan to include rock climbing with Rock Climb Montana if visiting the Glacier National Area. See more..

Rusty spent a day with us cross-country skiing though gorgeous snow-clad cedars and hemlocks, along Lake MacDonald, and talked about the history and area. We had lunch along the lake, took many photos, and laughed so hard when we fell down we couldn't get up.We're a family with adult kids. t's a stunning place to spend a wintry day and see the beauty of this park. Thank you, Rusty! See more..
