This is an amazing group of people with a long history with wolves in Yellowstone. We did the 6-day Autumn Wolf Watch Premium vacation with them, and it was fantastic. Be prepared to get up very early (well before sunrise) to be in the park for the best wolf activity viewing. Note: in the park you must remain at lest 100 yards from wolves and grizzly bears. Most watching occurs at distances at least 1/2 mile. YWT provides really good, quality spotting scopes so you can see the wolves very clearly even at great distances. They also provide you afterwards with videos taken through the scopes.See more..

I want to thank Yellowstone Wild for the wonderful day we spent touring the park. We are a family of four (two teenagers) that visited the park about a month after the awful floods. We had booked our stay at the North end of the park and were delighted to find this company that was using the still restricted North entrance for tours. Our tour guide - Travis - is a Navy veteran who was absolutely fantastic. Our day started at six am and ended at six pm, and throughout the day Travis regaled us with stories on the history, geology, flora and fauna of the park. He showed us nooks and crannies on the tour that we would never have found on our own. He even changed the itinerary slightly so we could see more wildlife. We learned so much and my two teenagers will leave the park with so many nuggets of information to bring on future trips. Thank you Travis!! I also want to commend the company for being so understanding of food allergies. My daughter has multiple food allergies and I was touched to see that the company had carefully packed a separate lunch for her. This was a great way to visit Yellowstone NP. I don't think we would have had the same experience if toured on our own. Chris was very knowledgable about every aspect of the park, geology, fauna, flora and history. He did a great job of driving and spotting while we were able to relax, enjoy the views and wildlife. In a full day he was able to cover most highlights of the north loop. I would recommend a tour guide for Yellowstone NP and Yellowstone Guidelines will be an excellent choice.See more..

We booked In Our Nature Guides for two tours: a 6 mile hike in Yellowstone and the early morning nature viewing. The hike was excellent. Nancy, our guide, is a fountain of information! She also had an amazing eye for spotting tracks and other evidence of animals such as paw prints, markings on trees, and lots and lots of different types of poop. The kids asked questions for 6 hours straight and Nancy fielded them brilliantly! The early morning nature viewing was a very cool experience. We got to see a pack of wolves frolicking in a field, many bison, and mountain goats. Nancy and Cara did a wonderful job managing our party of 8 with the scopes and keeping us moving to keep the kids' attention spans. We would highly recommend this group of guides. In hindsight, we were very happy we didn't try to do it all on our own. It is a much better experience to go with someone who knows where and when to be!See more..

We went on Winter bus tour to Old Faithful on Dec 31, 2022. Ken was our guide and he was the best. He was knowledgeable and shared history facts & partial fiction about the early days of Yellowstone. He also shared the ecology& biology of Yellowstone. He made many stops to see animals/birds. We had an older wheelchair bound lady in the group that day and he was so kind to help her get opportunities to see as much as she could. We would have given 5 stars except Jess, who checked us in, was very rude. After the company rescheduled our ride for the next day due to flooding, we were not expecting her to treat us as if we had inconvenienced them. She made rude comments, rolled her eyes at us and made our initial impression a very bad one. Once we were past her, everyone else was amazing. They were so friendly and funny. Our horses were beautiful and so calm but still had personalities and made the ride interesting. The trail was very muddy but they just trudged right though. Our guide, Kyler, was very nice. Maddy was a wonderful tour guide for an individualized short day of hiking in the Whitefish area. Picked me up at lodging, delivered me at the requested time at tour's end to bus stop. In between she was a font of knowledge about everything we saw on a morning and an afternoon hike, answering my questions and explaining what we saw in an integrated way that combined many subject areas: anthropology, recent and ancient history, ethnobotany, geology, and more. She knows the trails intimately; she knew, for example, exactly where the hornet's nest is located on one of the trails we hiked, and how to traverse that part of the trail to avoid the nest. She pointed out things I'd have overlooked, suggested a lovely spot for the filling lunch the outfitters provided, and maintained a comfortable hiking pace, checking to make sure it was working for this 67-year-old arthritic person. We visited YNP one month after the flood and were only able to gain access to the park through the north gate was with a private guide. Ashea took us on a full day tour of the park. She had the car packed with wonderful snacks, multiple scopes and binoculars for wildlife viewing and was so knowledgeable that we just soaked it all up! We got to see bison, elk and a wolf chasing a grizzly. She took us to the upper and lower falls, yellowstone lake and timed it just right to have lunch and then see Old Faithful erupt. On the way back to the north entrance we saw the hot springs and finished up at Mammoth Springs. It was a very full day and we packed in probably 3 days worth of sights into that day. I can't imagine trying to navigate and figure out which areas to stop on our own. Having a guide was worth it and having one with over 25 years of experience and so much knowledge even better! This tour will be one of the highlights of my trip. We had 11 in our group and our tour guide, Nolan, planned the trip for our age group and abilities. He did a wonderful job of working within the constraints caused by the flooding this year and the resulting road construction. We had plenty of time at the most popular places but also stopped at a number of places that are less well known. Nolan is a local guy, very personable in nature and knowledgeable about the area. Beyond Expectations! 5 adults could not have experienced a better tour. We spent 2 days in Yellowstone with Evan who enthusiastically shared his passion for all things Yellowstone, especially the wildlife. We were so impressed with his depth of knowledge exhibited through his captivating stories and intuition. Never would we have seen the wildlife or experienced the park the way we did without Evan. He was early, provided a very clean and comfortable vehicle, with tons of snacks and beverages. Day 1 we saw the beautiful landscape of the park and day 2 he focused on wildlife. Our party of 5 (2 adults and 3 teens) spent two days floating/fishing with Jim and Russ. We had a fantastic time. I was worried about our youngest (11yr old) who had never fly fished before, but Jim was patient and worked with her and guided her to an incredible first fly fishing outting. We lost count of how many fish she caught. Everyone had a great time and talked about the fishing and how great Jim and Russ were the entire trip. We had an amazing time on our all day ride in Yellowstone with Heidi. This company thought of all the details, choosing the best trail for me and my two kids (11 and 12) to have the best experience. It was so personalized and we felt like Heidi’s special guests, not just customers. The lunch she made for us was huge and there we’re lots of choices for drinks to stay hydrated. She even brought along slickers due to the chance of rain. This was by far the best thing we did on our vacation and we’ll remember it for the rest of our lives. I went on a Yellowstone Wildlife Profiles Wolf Watching Tour in March of this year, guided by Brad. The whole trip was fabulous. Brad is a great naturalist who has an almost uncanny ability to spot wildlife. Brad would stop the car and point out eagles, pronghorns, elk, and of course the ubiquitous bison. We even saw fox, moose and a mountain goat among others. Every day, we would go out before dawn to arrive deep in Yellowstone as the sun came up. The beautiful scenery and variety of wildlife was astonishing. While no one can make sure the wolves will actually show themselves, we saw wolves every day. It is an incomparable feeling to hear wolf howls in the clean, clear air of early morning against a backdrop of snow- covered mountains. We travelled in a comfortable van, and all of the group’s creature comforts were attended to- hot coffee, home-made muffins or scones after the first sighting of the morning; sufficient rest stops, water, and picnic or restaurant lunches. Excellent binoculars were provided to everyone in the group, and Brad quickly set up sighting scopes that gave us a great close view of the animals. I did an Early Season Combo Rifle Hunt with Mack and Connie, and I cannot say enough about their outfit, their guides and staff, and the experience. From the get-go you are treated like family and not like a customer who has to be dealt with. Their guides work their tails off to get you on game and you better show up in a physical condition to keep pace with them. Their base camp was exactly like one can expect for a wilderness hunting camp and with all the amenities present that one can pack in on a mule! The food was excellent and the scenery absolutely unbelievable. If you are an outdoorsman, you owe it to yourself to see “The Bob” and Bob Marshall Wilderness Outfitters can get you there. I have traveled extensively and I am still enamored of the beautiful terrain and the wildlife I saw as well as my family in the Yellowstone National Park and the Grand Teton National Park and surrounding areas. Mr. Mark Taylor is the finest helicopter pilot I have ever met and the experience we had to see hundreds of miles of terrain was breathtaking. The professionalism we observed and the safety that was demonstrated had to be noted. We were able to take incredible photography which will be treasured for a lifetime. YHM was amazing! They set us up with a great campsite on fairly short notice, and really knocked it out of the park (pun intended!) The horses and mules were sweet, tolerant of people that don't ride every day, and like attention. Our tent had great views, comfy mattress pads, and warm sleeping bags. Mo, Chase and Lars are so welcoming that it didn't even feel like we were strangers. The food was amazing (pulled pork! Steaks! Apple crisp! HUCKLEBERRY pancakes!!!!) We rode every day, did some fly fishing, picked the above mentioned huckleberries, and got to truly relax in a beautiful place. Mostly, we just had fun! Logistically, YHM is on top of it- responses to every email or call (it may take a day or two if they're out of service, but you WILL get an answer), Lars was early to our meeting place, and every detail other than our personal clothing and fishing license was taken care of. Took my husband and our three kids, ages 11, 13, and 15 on a trail ride with Tracey, and we had a wonderful time. She took the time to explain everything about getting on and off of the horse, and was patient, caring, and clear about all of her instructions. She clearly knows her stuff. The ride itself was beautiful, through what felt like miles of forest and meadows. Her animals are well taken care of, and the horses don't just plod along nose to tail like you get in some places--riders get a chance to actually guide the animals along the trails. The Chamber of Commerce building doubles as the Libby Visitor Center. When I went in on a Thursday afternoon, there was no one working the counter (explanation below). There was tons of literature and maps of Montana, "Glacier Country," Libby, and more. I picked up some literature and went outside. What was happening just outside as the weekly Thursday afternoon (3-6:30 PM) Farmers Market. All kinds of stuff from neat crafts to many kinds of food were for sale. We picked up some bagels for Friday breakfast and some donuts for immediate consumption. The Farmers Market was nicely organized and well attended.See more..
