Maddy was a wonderful tour guide for an individualized short day of hiking in the Whitefish area. Picked me up at lodging, delivered me at the requested time at tour's end to bus stop. In between she was a font of knowledge about everything we saw on a morning and an afternoon hike, answering my questions and explaining what we saw in an integrated way that combined many subject areas: anthropology, recent and ancient history, ethnobotany, geology, and more. She knows the trails intimately; she knew, for example, exactly where the hornet's nest is located on one of the trails we hiked, and how to traverse that part of the trail to avoid the nest. She pointed out things I'd have overlooked, suggested a lovely spot for the filling lunch the outfitters provided, and maintained a comfortable hiking pace, checking to make sure it was working for this 67-year-old arthritic person. Cameron personally guided our group and we couldn’t of asked for a better day. Perfect skis, several feet of fresh in touched powder and wide open landscape. If you are looking for somewhere to rent snowmobiles I highly recommend as they are the only place I’ve seen so far than doesn’t have piece of junk machines that only go 15 mph. They have top of the line Polaris bikes that fly through the mountains and are perfect on any terrain. We had an amazing time on our all day ride in Yellowstone with Heidi. This company thought of all the details, choosing the best trail for me and my two kids (11 and 12) to have the best experience. It was so personalized and we felt like Heidi’s special guests, not just customers. The lunch she made for us was huge and there we’re lots of choices for drinks to stay hydrated. She even brought along slickers due to the chance of rain. This was by far the best thing we did on our vacation and we’ll remember it for the rest of our lives. We were staying in Big Sky and travelled the 45 minutes to West Yellowstone to rent 2 sleds for the day because the prices here were the best we found. So glad that we did because the experience was top notch. Lisa assisted us and mapped out a fantastic route for us to have a great full day and made us feel comfortable traveling on our own without a guide. The groomed trails were fantastic, some pretty bumpy, but all with gorgeous views of this winter wonderland. Highly recommend renting here even if you are a novice, they will set you up for success! Our group just wrapped up four nights and three days of great fun. We had two people per snowmobile while in the national park on January 1st and 2nd. We rode to The Canyon on the first day and Old Faithful on the second day. Then, on the third day we each had our own machine and rode on the groomed trails around West Yellowstone to include a ride around the Two Tops Loop trail. Charlie Thomas was our agent who did a great job. We had included in our package a room for four nights with 4 x 2 people breakfast vouchers. One dinner voucher for 2 people. The Chamber of Commerce building doubles as the Libby Visitor Center. When I went in on a Thursday afternoon, there was no one working the counter (explanation below). There was tons of literature and maps of Montana, "Glacier Country," Libby, and more. I picked up some literature and went outside. What was happening just outside as the weekly Thursday afternoon (3-6:30 PM) Farmers Market. All kinds of stuff from neat crafts to many kinds of food were for sale. We picked up some bagels for Friday breakfast and some donuts for immediate consumption. The Farmers Market was nicely organized and well attended.See more..
