    - Another good State Capitol

We visited the State Capitol building on a Tuesday, not long after it had opened to the public, so it was nice and quiet. There is a good amount of free public parking right outside and a great statue in front of the building. The building is quite large and impressive although the dome looks like it’s showing signs of ageing I (assume its copper because it’s turning a bit green). Inside it was great to see into (but not enter) the Senate and the House. You can get some good photos from the glass at the door. And it’s all free. Well worth a visit. See more..
  2. 5.0 Rosebud County Courthouse (4 reviews)
    - Beautiful old courthouse

    Rosebud County Courthouse image
We love old county courthouses and saw this as a point of interest on our road atlas. The courthouse was built in 1914 and is just a really beauty. The sign outside gives some history about how this courthouse was fraught with controversy when it was first built, having cost considerable more than was budgeted. We went during the day and were able to walk around inside the court (except the court room because they were in session). There are great murals at the top and the men's restroom in the basement should be seen as the toilet has a water closet about the toilet (old style). A great short little visit! See more..
