Wow - great church
We had visited thenStatenCapitol so walked to see the Cathedral. And it was definitely worth it. The cathedral is large (certainly by US standards) and picturesque outside, but it’s the inside that’s really impressive. Sadly so many churches remain locked when not in use these days, but this one was open. The altar is stunning as is the vaulted roof but the most breathtaking part is the stained glass. Well worth a visit.

Pleasant escape
30 minute free organ recital Thursdays at 1 pm. Could feel the vibration from the pipes in the pews. Beautiful windows. The church is on a treed residential hill overlooking the downtown area. The view from the front doors is great. Walk around the building to the side away from the parking lot to avoid stairs. There is an elevator on the parking lot side of the building.

Beautiful Cthedral
Beautiful Cathedral. Stained glass is just amazing. Well worth the time to take 15 minutes to stop and walk inside. Would love to hear the pipe organ-maybe next time. Our tour guide on a city tour told us about a bet a pilot made that he could fly his plane between the two crosses on top of the spindle towers. Not sure if this was true but sure was interesting. Grounds are nicely landscaped. Stained glass is amazing.
