4.5Cajun Pride Swamp Tours(1.839 reviews) - Excellent and Informative Boat Tour Through a NOLA Area Swamp Sightseeing Tours
This is an excellent tour and I would almost rate it as a “must see” for anyone visiting New Orleans. We booked the tour through Gray Line, an all day bus tour that takes you to the Oak Alley Plantation and then to the Cajun Pride Swamp Tour. Bishop was our boat captain and was both highly humorous and extremely informative. You get to see many animals on the tour.See more..
4.5Louisiana Tour Company(1.836 reviews) - Ernie is the best! Wednesday: 7:00 AM - 12:00 AM Boat Tours • Sightseeing Tours • Nature & Wildlife Tours • Speed Boats Tours • Day Trips
We had an amazing time!! We almost were late, but we contacted the company on the way down from the French Quarter and they were very understanding and they did a head count before we left. We ended up not being late, but the tour still waited about 10 minutes because 2 people were missing. They didn't make it, but you can't really hold up a group of 20+ people forever. Ernie was FANTASTIC. He knows so much about the area and the waters. He was funny, kind, and you can tell he really loves what he does. For those of you who don't carry cash, pick some up before you leave New Orleans, because they cannot take electronic tips unfortunately and they have an atm, but we also only carry credit cards so we couldn't take money out there. 10/10 would recommend. Bring a jacket if you're going in off-season, it was a beautiful day, but it gets a bit chilly once you start moving.See more..
4.5Jean Lafitte Swamp Tours(1.275 reviews) - Better than expected Wednesday: 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM Sightseeing Tours
We managed to book onto a 4pm swamp tour with Jason, this was great and totally better than expected, we saw an abundance of wildlife inc alligators, herons and a bald eagle. Jason was very knowledgeable and at time cracked the odd joke. He brought out a tiny alligator for people to gently hold and have a personal photo opportunity, I liked how this was included and not charged separately like other establishments would such as zoo’s. Highly recommended for anyone traveling to New Orleans area.See more..
Brent could not have been a nicer tour guide. A few of us had been on swamp tours before and agreed this was much more relaxing and non commercial than our previous tours. The lake was absolutely beautiful and Brent’s appreciation for the areas vegetation and wildlife was palpable. We loved discovering this beautiful part of the country. Highly Highly recommend.See more..
Went on an airboat swamp tour with Cal as our driver/tour guide with myself, and my 2 SC grandsons. I live in Lafayette, approximately 20 miles from this location, and I did not realize the abundance and diversity of cypress trees (some really, really big), and swamp plants and birds. Cal not only gave us a great ride in an air boat, but he gave us all a lot of knowledge about the history of the Atchafalaya Basin, but also of the Acadians who settled in this area. I would definitely recommend this safe, professional tour to everyone, young and old. And when you go you might meet Albert. Laissez les bon temps rouler!See more..
We took the small boat tour (4 passengers). Our guide, Loren, was knowledgable and took the time to answer all of our questions about the area and it's plants and wildlife. His relationship and interaction with the alligators was extraordinary, always stressing safety and respect for the animals. He explained details about the gators and pointed out their individual characteristics. The trip was educational as well as exciting.See more..

4.5Zam's Bayou Swamp Tours(96 reviews) - Insight into the Local lifestyle Wednesday: 9:30 AM - 4:00 PM Sightseeing Tours
I cannot recommend this tour enough. We came to LA for culture and food and this gives culture to the max. ZZ was am incredible guide and was really easy to hear, no matter how far back in the group you were. "zoo" park is full of laughs and great animal experiences. The boat ride was definitely an hour+ long and we saw tons of Gators and he was full of local insight. Even saw a bald eagle catch a fish right out of the river. If I'm ever in this area again I will be back. Don't go elsewhere if you want a one of a kind experience. I've been a zipline guide and a city biking guide and ZZ definitely knows the job. Great experience.See more..

5.0Bayou Teche Experience(42 reviews) - Always a great experience Wednesday: 7:00 AM - 7:00 PM Sightseeing Tours
Second time enjoying The Bayou Teche Experience. It is not often that you encounter people who truly love their job, with Cory it's obvious. From the best routes to take, food and restaurant recommendations, or tips on kayaking in general, Cory has all the answers. Would recommend him to anyone. If he weren't the boss, I'd recommend he get a raise. Cory for mayor!! We will be back again, and again, and again.See more..

4.0Captain Caviar Swamp Tours(19 reviews) - Off the beaten path swamp tour Wednesday: 9:00 AM - 5:00 PM Sightseeing Tours
Captain Caviar was a phenomenal tour guide! From the moment you step on his property, you are entering a fabulous piece of history! He gives you a warm welcome and once your party is all there, the history and pirate and ghost stories begin! His boat was easy to enter, very comfortable ( I have back issues and had no problem), fast when it needed, and slow and quiet when we came up to a gator. He is well versed in history, plants, and animals. He also has a sense of humor for each member of your family. I went with my mom, and we are from Georgia, and had a blast. He left us feeling at home yet part of the swamp. We saw at least three gators (small, medium, and an XXXXL). We also baby and adult osprey, blue herrings, and so much more. If you are looking for someone who respects nature and history while also not being around other tourists, this is the place for you! I could not recommend him enough for a swamp tour!See more..
4.0Cane River Boat Tours(14 reviews) - Beautiful and relaxing Boat Tours • Sightseeing Tours
Captain Paul and his boat tour was the perfect ending to a day spent with family and friends. The view of the riverfront lights was beautiful! I enjoyed the history and the best part was when he announced it was my son’s birthday and we all sang to him. So great!See more..
4.5Acadian Swamp Tours(3 reviews) - Tour of small lake and swamp Wednesday: 9:00 AM - 5:00 PM Boat Tours • Sightseeing Tours • Nature & Wildlife Tours
We enjoyed the tour and stories that Riley told us. He is very knowledgable of the area and a gater expert. He is the go to guy for gater removal from a property (safely taken to the swamp). The tour is on a flat boat, not the Eco damaging air boats. And he does not feed the alligators marsh mellows. Terrible thing to do on all levels. Bad for the gater and dangerous. See more..
