  2. 5.0 LSU Tiger Stadium (899 reviews)
    - Chance of rain? Never
    Arenas & Stadiums
    LSU Tiger Stadium image
Okay, just because you hate LSU football, does not mean Tiger Stadium is terrible. This is like me saying Bryant-Denny sucks, just because I hate Alabama football. It is nice and so is Tiger Stadium. The biggest thing about Tiger Stadium is you have to be in it, during a game, preferably an SEC game, to understand. It becomes it own living organism. The restrooms are not great, this is true and we have whined for ages. The concessions have gotten much better, especiaily in the last couple years when they added craft beer and some better foods. If you want to get in relatively cheap, there is an area called skyline club, yes it is a nose bleed, but food is included, which is great with kids. We had season tickets in the upper deck, front row, at about the 20 yard line. What is great about the first 12 or so rows in Tiger Stadium upper deck, is that they have actual chair seating, not a metal bench, but actual chairs. See more..

  4. 5.0 Alex Box Stadium/Skip Bertman Field (145 reviews)
    - Incredible Baseball Stadium with Lots of History
    Arenas & Stadiums
Alex Box Stadium/Skip Bertman Field image
I was a little surprised Alex Box Stadium/Skip Bertman Field was the #1 attraction in Baton Rouge until we went here. The stadium is fantastic in purple and yellow. One of the best college baseball stadiums I have ever seen. The Head Coach Skip Bertman deserves credit. He came to LSU after 8 seasons with the University of Miami as Associate Coach where he won a National Championship.. LSU won 5 National Championships under Skip Bertman (6 in total). The National Championship Plaza is truly amazing. LSU really knows how to highlight their accomplishments. LSU has produced a lot of great players like Todd Walker, Ben McDonald, Aaron Nola and Alex Bregman. I came on a day when the players were practicing. It was neat to go onto the field afterwards. I just wished the LSU Baseball Hall of Fame was open. I would come back to see it. One day, I'd love to come watch a game here. See more..
  5. 4.5 Shrine on Airline (72 reviews)
    - Home of NOLA Gold rugby
Spent 2-3 hours Arenas & Stadiums
    Shrine on Airline image
I went to a NOLA Gold rugby match and parking was free. This a baseball stadium converted to be used for rugby. The field runs from what would be first base to left field. There is a nice team store on the first level. The main concourse with food concessions is on the second level. The seats are plastic theater style. The scoreboard is average and the public address system is good. The sight lines are good and there is a small roof to provide some weather protection for a few seats. COVID-19: Staff members were masked. Customers were supposed to remain masked throughout their visit--this was not enforced. Social distancing was also "required" but not enforced. See more..
