It is always an amazing experience when you walk into an establishment to be greeted by the owner themself. The store had more than what I came for. When I purchasing what I wanted, my children were given complimentary moon pies! I was thanked for giving them business even though the store was thriving! I had purchased a few heavy items and the cashier was adamant that someone help me to the car. I assured her that I was okay and then none other than Mr. Tubbs helped me out to my car!! This was an easy 10 mile paddle down the Sabine River with stops to watch birds and catch a few bass. The owner was helpful with providing landmarks for our journey and he was prompt with picking us up at the end of the canoe trip and taking us back to our vehicle. Though a map of the river would have been a helpful addition to the journey. Expect to see lots of Kingfisher birds! We looked for bald eagles but didn't see any.
