    If you like to dance and enjoy an authentic experience, this is the place to be. It doesn't get any more real than this. An experience to be remembered for a lifetime. Even if you don't dance, you will enjoy the music and spectating. Oh, just in case you didn't know, la poussiere means "the dust" in French.     We spent a Saturday afternoon at Touchet's, (they say 2 checks) listening to a Cajun-Creole jam. We had the most amazing time. Not only was the music authentic and beautiful, the people were amazing. We met, on a first name basis, about half of the people in the bar. The rest either said hello or smiled as they walked by. The place is old and eclectic, and just screams Cajun love. If you want a true Cajun experience as you pass through this incredible little piece of American paradise, then this is a great place to stop. We made some great memories here. See more..
