What a wonderful hidden gem! This place is beautiful! We are so lucky that the owners are willing to share with us so we can also enjoy this piece of paradise. It’s $10.00 cash plus proof of vaccination over two weeks ago, and photo ID to get in. There are five pools, we tried them all and believe there would be a perfect pool for everyone. One pool even has a white sandy bottom. See more..
  3. 4.5 Miracle Hot Springs (152 reviews)
    - Money Well Spent
    Hot Springs & Geysers
    Miracle Hot Springs image
This spot delivers what it promises. The campsite is charming. There's a nice creek that runs alongside it. Most of the spots are adorned with picnic benches and shaded by trees. There was little kitten who came up and greeted us in a successful attempt to ply us for food. They charged us $21 for the spot although I feel like we coulda just parked in the $10 tent site since we didn't need a hookup for our van. The flies in the morning were a bit of a nuisance but we did our best to ignore them. Hopefully they were simply a product of the season and not a constant. The pools are well done and are a fair price for the $10 / person entry fee. We also enjoyed the private baths that offer complete privacy and a dressing room. They are drained and refilled after each rental. The grounds are well manicured and there really is a live alligator although she wasn't in much of a sociable mood when we visited. See more..
  4. 4.0 Soda Springs Geyser (118 reviews)
    - Looking for a Free, Timely, Powerful Geyser? Look no Further!
    Hot Springs & Geysers
    Soda Springs Geyser image
Granted, this is not a 100% natural geyser since it goes off every hour on the hour with the help of manmade valves and timers. But it IS hot springs water, it IS powerful, and it IS a neat little stop! My family of 6 stopped here about a half-hour before the eruption (can I call it an eruption?). We looked at what part of the area was exceedingly wet so we found a nice place to perch and enjoyed the warm, sunny late summer Idaho morning. Then on the dot the geyser did its thing - it was powerful and interesting, the kids were entertained, all of us waiting for it had a good laugh when a few people got soaked (they laughed too), and after 5-6 minutes it was over. There's plenty of parking, the little park and boardwalk are nicely done and explain everything well, quite a wonder for a free stop! Come see it, and spend some money in their downtown! See more..
  5. 4.5 Challis Hot Springs (111 reviews)
    - Wonderful location
    Hot Springs & Geysers
    Challis Hot Springs image
The RV park itself is good, but not the best part of the stay here. The hot tubs are good, but not the best part of the stay here. In the evening, after you have enjoyed the tubs, and the sun is setting…take a slow drive on the backroads near the park. The quiet, the wildlife, birds and pastoral beauty of the area…is the best part of the stay here. Great spot. We would go back tomorrow. See more..

  10. 4.5 Kirkham Hot Springs (59 reviews)
    - Worth the drive
    Hot Springs & Geysers
    Kirkham Hot Springs image
This is one of the best hot springs I've ever visited, the only one where the hot water comes from above, like a shower. Climbing down the boulders can be challenging, so wear good shoes. I recommend also bringing along some water shoes/sandals. A towel is pretty mandatory as well. Go early and grab the best spots. And its all free! See more..

We brought our own bedding and sheets as well as drinks, but they did have sheets, towels if needed. They do have a menu with breakfast, lunch, dinner, & drinks offered. The food was great and very affordable. It was quiet and Family orientated the owner and his family & friends were great. I would recommend this Lodge to my family and friends We are so thankful Robert we had a great time and experience. See more..

    Sunbeam hot springs image
A friend told us about a hot spring that came out of the side of the mountain into the Salmon river. We found it outside of Stanley, Idaho and we’re glad we stopped. If you are able, bring shorts or swimming gear so you can sit in the spring. The single vault bathroom was ok, not great. See more..
