    Circling Raven Golf Club image
If a serene, natural setting is something you value in a golf course, make the effort to play Circling Raven. Wow. This golf complex has everything - great practise/warm-up area, friendly service, very good value for your dollar. The course is majestic - spread over 600 acres - quiet, peaceful, challenging, fun. You end your day here knowing you've experienced something truly special. 4 of us from BC played June 6 and 7, 2014 and the course was in excellent shape. Toney, the Starter, is a wonderful host/ambassador, and reflects the overall high quality of this golf course. It may not be the easiest to get to, but you definitely will not regret making the effort to give it a try. 5 stars!! See more..

Twin Lakes Village Golf Club‎ image
The course is in great shape and makes for a really fun round. It's narrow and short, which makes you play a little bit differently than you may elsewhere-not such a bad thing. The greens were quick and have some tricky lines throughout. Really good place for practice as well. They have a large putting green, a separate chipping green, and full driving range. See more..

I've been coming over from Jackson, to play here the last couple of weeks. The golf course is challenging and very well maintained. The views are the best of any course in the valley, and the rates are very affordable. $25 after 1 o'clock for 18 and a cart. The address on the scorecard is 127 north 4000 west and the phone number is 208-456-2777. This place is a real diamond in the rough. If you can't afford to play the private courses or are just looking to have some fun, with great views I would highly recommend this place. See more..

    Falcon Crest Golf Club image
This course is not only one of the most beautiful with ponds, waterfalls, train trestle bridges, but is noted as one of Idaho's courses to challenge your handicap. The course is well maintained and they allow doubles if it is just a couple wanting to play. The clubhouse is nothing to write about, but the staff are always pleasant. Great driving ranges and an area that allows for sandtrap to green practice and a huge putting green. One of my favorite among the many courses in and around Boise, Idaho See more..

  23. 3.5 River Birch Golf Course (5 reviews)
    - Great Twilight round
Spent More than 3 hours Golf Courses
Just wanted to write a review of River Birch Golf Course in Star, ID. I have played this course four times over the last two years and always have a good experience. Last night, 4/18/20, my wife wanted to go ‘golfing’ with the kids. And by golfing I mean she wanted to drive the cart and watch me play. Jon Albright, their Pro, was the nicest guy! He let me play solo and let us take two carts allowing my wife and two young kids to follow me as I played and only charged us for one cart. We got there about 5:30 and finished at 7:30 on the back nine. The course is always fun to play as I shot a 42 and had four pars, the rest boogies (which I’m satisfied with considering I only play a couple times a year and haven’t played since Thanksgiving in Florida). The staff is always nice at River Birch and we talked with Jon Albright before we left about getting our young kids and my wife into golf with lessons that he provides. I would definitely recommend this course in the Treasure Valley area. See more..

  26. 4.5 River Bend Golf Course (4 reviews)
    - Great Customer Service at River Bend
Spent More than 3 hours Golf Courses
    River Bend Golf Course image
I could not have been more please with our visit to River Bend golf course for a number of reasons. Number one on the list was customer service. This course knows how to treat its players. Unlike most courses I’ve play in the Boise area, they don’t think it’s unreasonable to give their customers a friendly greeting and helpful direction; they made these out-of-state golfers feel like this was our home course. This was particularly refreshing after the poor experience we had at TimberStone golf course just down the road. The course itself, although not a championship layout, was eminently fun. It’s a quirky layout with lots of interesting and enjoyable holes, drivable par 4’s reachable par 5’s and some challenging par 3’s. Greens were in excellent shape and the overall condition of the course was great. The next time we’re in the area we’ll drive right past TimberStone to River Bend for our next golf outing. See more..

    - Fun and hilly
    Golf Courses
University of Idaho Golf Course image
This unique course is challenging, offering a variety of shots from uneven lies to elevated and recessed greens. The front nine provides scoring opportunities featuring three par 5's in an open grassland venue. The back nine tightens up into a narrow parkland theme, including two difficult par 3's. The round concludes by running the gauntlet of the last three challenging holes known by locals as "heartbreak ridge." See more..
  32. 5.0 Pebble Ponds Golf Course (2 reviews)
    - This place is amazing
    Golf Courses
We love it. We've been here many times, but the new Dave and Allison management team has taken it from burgers and fries to some seriously upscale dining. Love the live music, the vibe, the food, the service, and it's locally owned. It went from a great place to practice your short game and grab pub food to a destination eatery. Can't comment on the condition of the course as it's still under garbage weather, but we now have to call ahead to make sure we get a table for dinner. The vision of the new owners is spot on and they have hired amazing chefs and servers that have made a little clubhouse a place to spend some serious time. Amazing people, amazing food, amazing atmosphere. I wish them nothing but the best. I almost hate to leave a review as I would love to keep this place a secret. A serous hidden gem. See more..

This is a very nice golf course and lounge located over a river. The course ranges from straight forward holes to curves and river sides. As this is my first time ever golfing I will say this course is a great place to start a new build new skills. The place is well taken care of and carts are available. The lounge is maintained remarkably well and the staff is friendly and came by often to check quality and meet needs. I ordered the club sandwhich because its a club house right. The sandwhich is definitely grilled and tasted great. Fries were made fresh and salted to taste. I enjoyed the experience of this place See more..

  37. 4.0 Jerome Country Club (1 review)
    - A Pleasant Experience at the Muni Style Course
    Golf Courses
Jerome Country Club is an 18 hole course that started life as a simple nine holer in 1926. Although it is named a country club, it is designed, maintained and run like any topical muni. The course was in reasonably good condition the day we played in May. The description “meticulously maintained championship course” that they state on their website’s home page is an exaggeration, but the course is maintains as you would expect a good muni to be. The course has four tee boxes and plays from 5200 yards from the front tees to just over 6400 yards from the tips. Pair this with the elevation of Jerome at 3800 feet and you’ll find a very manageable golf course distance wise. The front nine has a different personality than the back with straight tree lined fairways and smaller green. The back nine plays among a subdivision and has winding fairways, larger greens and some nice views if the Snake River Canyon. Overall, I would rate this as a pleasant experience and would play this course again when in the area. See more..

    - Well-kept Links Golf
    Golf Courses
    Links Golf Club image
This course is nice for just about all levels of golfer. The open links style golf allows you to play some shots that may otherwise be out of play, but the course is also quite long at the tips. The greens compare with just about any course in the area and the practice facilities are well maintained as well. Point of note, number 9 is a par 6. See more..
  41. 4.0 Eagle Hills Golf Course (1 review)
    - Friendly Public Golf Course
    Golf Courses
    Eagle Hills Golf Course image
Eagle Hills golf course is a regulation par 72 layout that plays to 6410 yards from the back tees with wide, generous fairways and large, fairly level greens. Blue tees play at 6052 yards, white play at 5474 yards and the front tees play at 5031 yards. If you pick the tees appropriate to your ability/handicap, you should have a great time on this course. The design is mostly routed through a residential area and is relatively flat, so walking is a good option here. Practice facilities include a lake driving range and separate putting and chipping areas. We found it very easy to get on here and the staff at the pro shop/bar were friendly and helpful. See more..
