3 adults and 2 young boys set off to celebrate an 8 year old's birthday. They caught many bass and 2 sturgeon, one of which measured more than 7 feet in length. None of them had ever experienced an adventure like this and I have been assured that "forever memories" were created this day! This is my third jet boat trip to Hell’s Canyon. By far the best. We had 7 of my family members on this trip. The guide and Captain Rick’s personal family history recounted during the day was a very nice touch. Becky was extremely attentive to customer needs was very engaging and a real delight. My father is 85 and his wife although younger does not get around as well. Becky made certain that they had all the extra help they needed at each stage of the trip without them feeling self conscious. Captain Rick had the best boat handling skills of any of the three commercial trips that I have taken. He was also more courteous to others on the river and worked hard to not take away from their experience on the water. I highly recommend River Adventures if you are looking into a trip up Hell’s Canyon. Next time we will try the lower Salmon.See more..

We travelled from Miami, Washington DC and New York City to experience this adventure. I grew up in western Oregon and always heard of, yet never experienced the Snake River/Hells Canyon area. You must see it to believe it. We had grand visions of catching salmon and keeping enough for dinner, even planned a menu around it! Like Peyton said if it were easy it would be called “catching” rather than fishing. Honestly landing a salmon was secondary, getting to experience this part of the world made it worth the journey. Kudos to Peyton and Sean who had a boat load of amateurs; we kept them busy freeing snagged lines, untangling knots and countless other blunders. While not successful at catching salmon we did pretty good with the bass. My daughter, the NYC flight attendant was angler of the day, all we heard from her was “caught another one”. The bass tasted great and made a fitting end to an excellent trip. Already planning next year’s adventure.See more..

The 2 hour cruise was very relaxing, the music nostalgic, and the lakeside homes beautiful. We did not partake of the drinks, but a steward seemed always available to clear out empty glasses and such. We were informed of the history of the homes as well as the lake. Although it was quite warm before sunset (mid June) the wind was very cold after sunset. Thankful we brought jackets.See more..
From the booking process through to the last stop for brownies in their restaurant we had a great adventure with White Otter. We did it as a family of 5 and everyone had a great experience. Our Raft Guide Sam, a friendly and informative college kid on summer break, not only tough us the rafting skills but told us a lot about the environment that we were traveling through. On top of the rafting / rapids fun, two highlights were a quick stop to rock jump and quietly floating by 3 deer who were at the river's edge. We paid for "a photo" ahead of time and for the same price ending up with full gallery of shots that are instant-classic family photos.See more..

We just completed our 3rd trip with this amazing company and their incredible guides. Salmon Raft is truly world class and we are customers for life. They spare no detail when putting together these trips - my group of friends just did a fabulous four day trip on the lower Salmon and then through Hells Canyon— it was gorgeous, fun, equal parts peaceful and splashy. Lauren and Chris were accommodating for all sorts of dietary preferences, rafting experience, and have been so flexible with our group over the years as needs change and challenges arise (hello pandemic). Every guide puts their heart and soul into giving us the best trip possible, teaching us the ways of the river, keeping us fed with delicious and fresh food, and so much more. Beautiful Lake Pend Orielle cruise, was able to spot some eagle nests and an couple eagles on the tour and ended with an interesting lake history. The tour group was the right size were it wasn't too many people with snacks and full bar available. Our daughter's favorite part was helping the captain steer the boat. Overall well worth the price and would recommend the tour.See more..

No joke, this was hands-down the BEST zipline tour I've had. Our guides were awesome and helpful- but most importantly they ensured our safety at all times and made it FUN! If you're in the area and are looking to get outdoors, they have an assortment of activities (kayak rentals, zilpline tours, etc) that are all reasonably priced. We will definitely be coming back!! One of the best ways to enjoy Idaho’s Salmon River, regardless of the Fork. I think you go to do the Middle Fork, or The Main, thinking about Wilderness and the excitement of a fast flowing river, If you are planning on a river trip I would Highly recommend this fellas services. James is sharp to the point of making sure the guides and staff are in tune with both the river, as well as music, and clients. Safety is the issue, however food comes in a handsome second. We just got off a two week float down both the Middle then Main, James was accommodating to the Max, and I can’t tell you how much his staff made this trip so much more enjoyable. Jet boat trip in Hell's canyon. We caught sturgeon,bass, and trout.our guide{ Peyton} was very knowledgeable about the history of the canyon and how to catch fish. this was a family outing of 6 including two grand kids 12 and 16 who caught bass and trout. words can't explain how great experience this was. We have never met a more honest business woman. We tried to book a fishing trip, but Amy said we were there to early for the steelhead run. She said they could take us out & try their hardest, but she just didn't feel comfortable taking our money. So we booked a white-water rafting trip instead. Our guide Matt was awesome. He knew a lot about the area & was very informative. The water was low, but we still got wet in the rapids. For us first-timers, the 1/2 day trip was a perfect experience.See more..
What a great experience! My son a group of friends and I had the opportunity to raft down the mighty Bruneau River with Barker River Expeditions, it was truly amazing. We had been looking at this trip for years after doing some research we determined Barker's had the most experience and a great reputation. We could not have been happier with our trip. The Bruneau river canyon is beyond words it must be experienced up close and in person. Jon and his guides are experienced, professional and incredibly knowledgeable. Barker's equipment was first rate. It seemed everything was the highest quality and built for with one purpose in mind navigating one of the most remote and beautiful rivers in the country. 6th river trip with ARTA, 3rd time down the Main Salmon! Once again, we had an excellent trip. This river is a "gem". There is big whitewater, swimmable eddies, great scenery with plenty of wildlife, white sandy beaches where you can sleep under the stars. The food is healthy and super delicious! ARTA's guides are first rate - safety is always first, but to a one, every guide we have had has been personable, knowledgeable, kind and responsive. Thank you for an amazing evening. We spend alot of time on that lake and Cam and Molly gave us so much history of that lake of which we had no idea that it existed. My husband and I had visited Idaho for our honeymoon and I have spent every moment since then trying to get back. I wanted to take my mom and brother back as I knew that Covid Craziness would be less noticeable in a locale with fewer people, like Northern Idaho. While we are not fly fisherman, I really wanted to try a river float with lunch to show my family how quiet and beautiful Idaho can be. Aaron called and emailed with me before the trip to make sure that he was fully prepared for our visit. The wood boat was absolutely beautiful, and the water couldn't have been more calm. Aaron did all the work by telling us all about life in northern Idaho, about the history and ecology of the area, and gave us a beautiful lunch. I couldn't have been more pleased with our 3 hour river float and highly recommend it.See more..
