  1. 4.5 Manchester Ice & Event Center (22 reviews)
    - Public skate and ice bumper cars!

My 7 y.o. wanted to skate but my 9 y.o. didn't, so this was perfect. It was busy so we had to book the bumper cars for later and skated while we waited. 9 y.o. had so much fun! And he got a bonus second ride right after as not all the cars were booked. The guy running the show (sorry I didn't get his name) was awesome, patient even when people had no idea what they wanted. He saw my 7 y.o. was feeling left out (turns out she DID want to ride the bumper cars) and got her in the car and out on the ice in a flash. Totally made her night! She had a kind if tricky car and he even went back out to help her figure out how to drive it. 10/10 would do this again! See more..
  2. 4.5 Frontier Ice Arena (12 reviews)
    - Fun activity

I would definitely recommend this as an indoor activity when the outside climate is not right for doing other activities. We had a very good time ice-skating at this arena. They rent skates, they also rent helmets it was very clean everyone was friendly and the ice was well-maintained as well as the rink and the wall. I thought the price was very reasonable and I am glad that we added this onto our trip. See more..
  3. 4.0 Palouse Ice Rink (10 reviews)
    - Hometown rink with hometown spirit!

This is a great ice skating rink with a true small town flavor. THE gathering place for Palouse families in winter, friendly staff. Only downfall is no real bathroom. In the summer they take up the ice and use it as a roller rink. Great deals on skating and open hockey, with coupons available in most of the local booklets. This rink supports the local youth and college hockey teams and you can see their team pride throughout the rink, plus huge community support as well. Rink is open from about 7 am to 10 pm, midnight on the weekends. See more..

    - Such a Fun Place to Visit
Wednesday: 6:00 PM - 10:00 PM Spent 2-3 hours Sports Complexes

We love to go to the Kroc center whenever we are in Northern Idaho! I wish there was one near us in Oregon. We have only used the pool area, but the climbing wall and gyms look top notch, as well. I loved the fact that it was very family friendly with cabaña's to change in that were private for each family. The staff that checked us in was very kind and friendly. The lifeguards were a bit on the grumpy side, but they probably were just taking their job seriously!!! All in all this is a great place to make some really special memories together!! See more..

  6. 5.0 Sharkey Hot Springs (2 reviews)
    - Relaxing and clean
    Sports Complexes
I visited Sharkey with my two young children and my mother in law and we had a great time. It’s very close to Salmon, maybe a 20-25min drive. We went on a Friday afternoon and there was one other person there. The water was hot and the tubs were clean, no grime or slime. The bathrooms and changing rooms were also well maintained and clean. There were reminents a Campfire burning in the built in fire ring just outside of the pool area and that was a nice feature to know they have there. A perfect place for having a campfire and a refreshing dip into the hot water on a cold night. We will be back for sure! See more..
  7. 4.0 Cherry Hill BMX Park (1 review)
    - BMX a spectator sport? Yup.
    Spent 1-2 hours Sports Complexes
We watched races with wee ones (3-year-olds?) up to bigguns (20-somethings) during a Saturday racing event which had about 32 riders in all zipping around the 932-foot USA BMX sanctioned field. Parents, grandparents and friends all cheered the kids along. Bleachers are situated at different spots along the sort-of circular trail. It lost a star in my rating because the track caters to its own crowd. As a newbie, I was clueless about amenities at the track and had to email for the information. See more..
