    Falls Park image
This is a wonderful local park. It is located on the river/lake/falls. There are signs telling about the history of the site, the 2 sawmills, 3 dams and a grist mill. These were in production from 1905-1995. If you are not interested in history. There is a small lake where I saw people fishing off of the bridge. The play area was under construction. There is a trail that skirts the outside of the park. When I was there the dam was open and water was flooding out of it. See more..

Fishing is allowed. See more..

    Teton Dam image
This is a self-guided tour - all of the historical markers are missing. But there is good cell phone coverage and you can google any information you need about the dam and its failure. There are no services here. There is a Teton Dam Flood Museum in Rexburg. The Teton Dam was a large earthen fill dam completed in Nov 1975 and failed June 5, 1976. The flood from the dam killed eleven people, flooded farmland, rangeland, and the communities of Wilford, Suger City, Salem, Hibbard, and Rexburg. See more..
