4.5Route of The Hiawatha Trail(209 reviews) - So Fun, Even for Novices Spent More than 3 hours Biking Trails
The Hiawatha was the reason for us coming to the panhandle of Idaho. However, as flatlands from Texas, we weren't sure how we'd do at elevation and with tunnels and trestles. It turned out to be no worries. The bikes we rented from the operators of the local ski lift worked great, as did the helmets and lights. The lunch they packed and the ride back to the top of the mountain in their bus were value-added and really worth the minimal extra charges.See more..

So many people live here and fall in love with Boise because of the ease of access to the outdoors. My wife and I are lucky enough to live 100 feet from a trail access point and we find ourselves out on the trails several days per week. This is definitely one of the highlights of Boise and as the city expands I hope the area continues to be protected from over development. It would be a shame to lose this wonderful resource.See more..
5.0Trail of the Coeur d'Alenes(119 reviews) - Beautiful well maintained bike trail Spent More than 3 hours Biking Trails
We didn't start in Plummer -- rather we went to Harrison, where we rented bikes at the Cycle Haus (which has, believe it or not, good coffee/tea, beer, and a restaurant along with a good bike rental facility. We (family of 5) took a morning ride toward Plummer, turning around at Heyborn State Park so we could get back to the Cycle Haus for lunch. For some members of our family, that 20 miles (including a fun railroad bridge over the lake) was enough. Dad soldiered on with an afternoon ride toward Medimont along the river and next to lakes with beautiful scenery. About 40 miles total, which was an easy ride on this very flat trail. This is the nicest bike trail I've been on in terms of road surface quality (smooth paved asphalt) and facilities (bathrooms provided at frequent points along the way). Definitely worth the drive down from Coeur d'Alene if you're staying there.See more..
5.0Wood River Trail(50 reviews) - Great Backbone Rail Trail Biking Trails • Hiking Trails
This is an amazing old rail grade trail. We road it on tour bikes from Bellevue to Ketchum. Easy uphill grade this direction! 17 miles. We used it as the backbone return trip after ascending Cove Creek RD to Quigley RD to Hailey followed by Croy Creek/Rock Creek via Bullion to Glendale RD into Bellevue.See more..
This is a very nice paved trail between Moscow and Troy. There are some rolling hills along the way, and one long one back up from Troy. It's very neat and tidy and in good condition. Three outhouses along the way and a restroom in Troy at the park. From downtown Moscow and back it's close to 27 miles round trip. Once we found the trail start downtown, the rest was a breeze. Highly recommend this ride, it's a great way to see the Palouse.See more..

Even though the entry says " private road", a second trip got us to the parking area ( very small area, so get there early). On two occasions, we encountered families on bikes scaling the trails. This location is a springboard for multiple hikes. You can choose from Sunnyside or Shadyside - take both for a good balance in your day.See more..
We had a blast. My wife and I joined her brothes family and spent the better part of a day riding the trail. We packed a lunch and stopped and looked at the views a lot.The tunnels were fun, we had no issues with to many people or any of the other negative things I've read. It was about a 45 mion wait for the bus and the workers and driver tool good care of us and our personal bikes. Can't wait to do it again.See more..
