Charming small town
We stopped for the hot springs, but enjoyed tubing down the Portneuf River too through Gator Rentals! It was hot and the tubing was fun--we are older so the little rapids felt like we were adventuring!! So many nice families along the river tubing, helped and were so kind to us! The little main street has some cute stores and ice-cream and shave ice. The museum was surprisingly delightful too. Small towns are dying and the museum has some really treasures of life in a small town that surprised me. A sweet sense of community and overall kindness here.

Best hot pools in the region
I've been coming here for years. The staff is always great, the pools are well maintained. They're open late (10 or 11) so it's a fun day trip from Salt Lake City or to stay over. Hot pools in the middle of nowhere have so charm but I love that these pools are all set up with dressing rooms, showers, lockers, etc. The pools go from VERY hot to stay-all-day temps.
