The cell service for Verizon runs about 2 - 3 bars, no WiFi. The office has a few staples and souvenirs. The staff is extremely friendly and helpful including the campground hosts. We camped at Natural Falls State Park in a Fifth Wheel. Tip for Campers: Shopping nearby is available at Siloam Springs, Fayetteville, Rogers and Bentonville, Arkansas. I regularly travel down to Norman to experience this museum due to the incredible works you can see. There are few places in Oklahoma where you will see Monet’s beside Van Gogh. This and a WHOLE bunch more await you. This was the first place I ever saw a war depiction painting by Norman Rockwell and it’s moving! Student art exhibits are outstanding. There are mixtures of classical art with western art and native collections. Truly a phenomenal collection right here in the middle of Oklahoma! The gallery changes every few months so each trip is a new experience.See more..
4.5Har-Ber Village(164 reviews) - What a wonderful surprise! Monday: 9:00 AM - 3:30 PM Spent 2-3 hours History Museums
HAR-BER VILLAGE MUSEUM is a seasonal (third Saturday in March thru first Saturday in November) pioneer-era village and history museum located on the shores of Grand Lake o' the Cherokees in Oklahoma. Visitors experience the area's history and ecology through self-guided tours. Antiques, collectibles and reproductions are displayed in exhibitions representing the mid-1800s to the early 1900s in the local four-state region (Oklahoma, Arkansas, Missouri and Kansas). Several of the Village's HISTORIC BUILDINGS were relocated to the grounds, including a schoolhouse, jail and 16 log cabins. Other log structures were built to house collections and are typical for the mid-to-late 1800s-a courthouse, a bank, a stagecoach inn and a church built with bricks hand-made before the Civil War. Other replicated buildings include a mercantile, jail and hanging gallows, a doctor's and a dentist's office, print shop, post office, drug store and more. We also have Nature Trails!See more..
4.5Martin Park Nature Center(164 reviews) - Wonderful Trail and Park Monday: Nature & Wildlife Areas • Parks
Very nice place to go too, we showed up about 30 minutes before closing, but were able to complete 1 trail, which was fairly easy. I would definitely go again, we saw some wildlife and the trail looks to be maintained well. There is also a park at the beginning of the trail and some picnic tables.See more..
There is a wonderful primitive campsite just a short hike from the parking lot. A group of friends and I had headed out late one evening and hiked out to it at night, which unfortunately meant we weren’t able to alert the park rangers or register our vehicle. After a beautiful night out in the woods, we hiked back and were confronted by 2 rangers standing around our vehicle. Much to my surprise, they weren’t there to slap ridiculous fines on us or belittle us. They showed genuine concern for our safety, and once they understood the situation, they just let us off without any extra fines. A highly recommend this park if you want a break from the hustle and bustle of life, or a change of pace from the larger state parks that hardly allow camp fires even.See more..
4.0Brady Theater(158 reviews) - Bush Concert Historic Sites • Theaters
Hubby and I went to see Bush here and the concert was awesome. The theater is old and very interesting to look at inside. We purchased tickets in the seated area, first section of the D seated area. We were pretty close to the stage and ended up standing during the concert. Sound was awesome, we had no trouble seeing the band and stage, and the staff were friendly and helpful. Drink prices were standard. The balcony was closed during this show but it would be neat to go another time and get balcony seats.See more..

4.5Medicine Park(148 reviews) - Medicine Park Sister’s Trip Parks
Wonderful walkable town perfect for a long weekend. We really enjoyed staying in the Creekside cabin through Airbnb. The wildlife refuge is a very short drive away. Cute shops, stands and cafes. We especially enjoyed dining at The Plantation Restaurant and those fried green tomatoes! The Tacos at Small Mountan Street Tacos are also worth a mention. The other eateries were average. Found some great gifts at Comanche Shirt Company and The White Buffalo shop. The weather shifts were pretty drastic in mid March. We saw lows in the teens our first night, some snow on day one and low 60’s on day two. Still a wonderful long weekend.See more..

We came to see the Butterfly "Papilion" (apparently a play on words of "pavilion" and the French word for butterfly "papillon".) While the Butterfly hut was small, it was beautifully executed with pleasant gardens surrounding it. There is a small fee ($3 per adult) to enter the Papilion gardens; the rest of the park is free. The park features a splash pad, a modern playground, several ponds, plenty of shady trees and picnic tables. The April azalea festival and the Christmas lights are special times to visit.See more..
4.5Henry Overholser Mansion(142 reviews) - You can even tour the 3rd floor! Monday: Historic Sites
Henry Overholser was an entrepreneur who came to Oklahoma during the 1889 Land Run. He and his wife Anna Overholser saw potential in the land surrounding what is now known as the Heritage Hills neighborhood and constructed one of the first mansions to the area in 1903. The home was an attraction for social networking and gatherings in the wake of Oklahoma's impending statehood and stands today in almost complete structural integrity to its original turn-of-the-century construction. Today, visitors can tour the 3 story mansion alongside our Museum Coordinator, and participate in future events hosted on the premises by Preservation Oklahoma, the state's only non-profit organization dedicated to preserving the state's oldest cultural homes and structures.See more..
To visit here, you need to first go to the Fort Sill visitor center with your ID to get a day pass. Apparently there’s a golf course and bowling alley because people were coming to play there. The museums are free, and there’s 2 museum areas. My kids loved seeing how there is an entire city inside those guarded walls. There’s a Pizza Hut, Burger King, basketball court, gas station, etc. Behind the buildings opposite the gift shop (which wasn’t open), there’s a nice playground. There’s a large lawn for playing/relaxing. We could have spent the entire day.See more..

4.5Kiddie Park(130 reviews) - 75 years and still going strong. Great family attraction Amusement & Theme Parks
Such a wonderful family attraction to visit. Rides are geared for elementary age and younger but there are some rides that the adults can do (carrousel, train and mini golf). Ticket price of 75 cents per ride and most rides last 3 minutes each, so you are definitely getting your money’s worth. We enjoyed our visit especially being able to see our daughter enjoyment after each ride. Her favorite was the Little Dipper (rode it six times) and the carrousel. Truly this great family attraction, and a local historical landmark to the city of Bartlesville.See more..

4.5National Weather Center(128 reviews) - Stunning Facility, Especially for Weather Geeks Educational sites
The National Weather Center is pretty cool. I had a tour there and got to see the doppler on wheels, the SPC, and the observation deck on the top floor. They have a cafe inside though we didn't eat there. On a nice day there are a lot of solid outdoor photo ops. I might be a bit biased because I'm a prospective meteorology student at OU, but this place is really nice. Even if you are just a casual visitor and aren't really into meteorology, I would still recommend checking it out as the tour was completely free and wasn't overly technical or scientific.See more..

This is a small museum so don't expect much, but what is offered is well worth the visit to the free museum. The gentleman who greeted us took our temperatures and told us some things of the Comanche Nation - from the past and from today. Very informative! Thank you! We went into the museum and were told not to take pictures of the artwork on the walls. So, we didn't take pictures inside. Being a small museum, we were in and out in about 20 minutes. And I just had to get two of the "coins" that were imprinted with Comanche Nation pictures. We went to the gift shop and spent that much time there looking around and purchasing some things. Everyone there was very nice and I'd recommend this museum to anyone. Just next door is the Museum of the Great Plains, so you can make a long afteroon visiting the two.See more..
4.0The Artesian Hotel Casino(122 reviews) - Good time with small winnings Monday: 8:00 AM - 4:00 AM Casinos
We enjoyed playing the slots here! My wife and I admittedly have no clue what we're doing when it comes to slot machines, but we ended up winning some extra cash and walking away happy. It does smell slightly smokey, but that's to be expected. They did a decent job of filtering the air, or at least it seemed that way.See more..
This is a great place to visit. First you visit the Lake Murray Nature Center, and the Tucker Tower is behind it. Make sure and put in the Tucker Tower into your GPS or you will end up in the middle of the state park among the trees. The Lake Murray Nature Center has some neat little displays about the history of the area and conservation. It also has a pretty observation deck that is great for pictures. It is also free. The Tucker Tower is a gem if anything for the views. It is a hard climb though. It is definitely not for those who are not up for difficult terrain and steep climbs. It has several floors of displays about the building of the tower, but the real treat is the view from the top. It is five floors up with the last floor being a winding staircase. You can see a breathtaking view of Lake Murray.See more..

4.5Toy and Action Figure Museum(112 reviews) - Toys! Toys! Toys! And more toys! Monday: 10:00 AM - 5:00 PM Speciality Museums
The museum got its start in 2000 during a citywide process called VISION 2010. In a series of meetings, local citizens came together and identified goals they would like the community to reach in the next ten years. Many things were discussed. Among them the town wanted unique attractions that would help to make Pauls Valley a destination city. With the help of local artist and toy designer (and collector) Kevin Stark, a board was formed to start working on the world’ s first museum devoted to the art and sculpting of action figures! The museum acquired its 501(c)3 nonprofit status and the group began researching and creating the plans for a first – class facility in the heart of downtown Pauls Valley. It took the group five years to put everything together and the doors opened on October 15, 2005.Since that time the museum has had visitors from every state in the union and over 40 foreign countries and has helped serve as an economic catalyst for the downtown area. With group tours from state wide public and private schools, senior citizen groups and various tourist groups, not to mention curious travelers, the museum has seen over 50,000 visitors since it opened its doors. An accredited museum, The Toy & Action Figure Museum has won several awards, including the Redbud Award for Best New Tourist Attraction in the state for 2006 at the Oklahoma Governor’ s Conference on Tourism.See more..
4.5Heavener Runestone Park(112 reviews) - Gorgeous, Shaded, Unexpected Monday: 12:00 AM - 11:59 PM Parks
I stayed three nights (I used HipCamp to book) at an electric site and had a completely great time. There are several very good hiking trails, and the sites are deeply shaded with pines and hickories. There are lots of playgrounds nearby and a stellar scenic overlook within a three minute walk. The runestone is always fascinating to see. The exhibits need updating but the current managers are working on improvements. The stonework going down to the runestone is of fine quality. Just a pretty park away from town (but town within sight in a valley below). The locals love it here, there are lots of groups with kids frolicking.See more..
We had just left Black Mesa State Park (horrible), so I was apprehensive about spending another two days in a dump. This park seemed like heaven! It was so very nice, clean, and well manicured. We stayed in the Whitetail section with FULL hookups, shade trees, cement patio table, level site, walking trails, ample trash bins and dump stations. It was quiet, except for the occasional train whistle from nearby Woodward. You have a great opportunity there for getting groceries, camping supplies or doing laundry here. We did not use the bath house. There is a nice park office and visitor center and pavilion with interesting facts on the wildlife, birds, and plants in the park that is in tip top shape. We had a great stay and would highly recommend.See more..

4.5Phillips Petroleum Company Museum(108 reviews) - Fun, engaging exhibits tell Phillip’s history well Monday: 10:00 AM - 4:00 PM Speciality Museums
We came here not knowing much about Phillip’s history and were impressed with the excellent interpretive exhibits and videos which tell the story of Phillips Petroleum so well. This is a fun museum; we learned a lot about the remarkable history of this successful American company. Many historic artifacts also help tell the Phillip’s story. We spent an hour 15 minutes in the free museum and 10 minutes in the gift shop to buy a cool retro looking t-shirt. High recommend on this neat museum.See more..

4.5Guthrie Green(104 reviews) - Beautiful open space for a stroll Monday: 6:00 AM - 11:00 PM Parks

4.5Yellow Rose Theater(103 reviews) - A hidden gem in Moore, Oklahoma! Monday: 10:00 AM - 7:00 PM Theaters
My girlfriend & I went to the "Young Elvis" show last Saturday night (Jan 14th). We are both 70+ widowed seniors and the show was like getting in a time machine! Trent Smith was fantastic! To say this kid is good is a total understatement! The food was excellent (as usual), and the staff is always top-notch! Dee Hill is an undiscovered gem, very charismatic and multi-talented! I intend to become a regular patron of this fine establishment. I have no doubt my girlfriend will second that thought!See more..
I can’t say enough good things about this place! We were hoping we were going on a less crowded day so we could spend more time with the animals. It turned out that three people didn’t show for work and everyone in the area decided that was the day to go to the petting zoo. So it was busy and they were understaffed. But even that didn’t hinder our great experience. They have great and some unusual animals. Some in cages you had to ask if you could pet them but they we’re happy to let you and tell you about their animals. Super fun and a must visit place if you love animals and/or have children with you. See more..
