   This place is double the price of better places an hour away in the berkshires....terribly long lines and they kept selling more tickets as people arrived later in the day (pure greed).....to add insult to injury they charge an extra $25 for a double tube and $10 for a helmet (req'd).... A small bottle of water is $3 !!! If you go here bring a lot of cash and be prepared to wait in long long lines..lifts kept breaking down too......go to the berkshires and you'll be much better off !!! See more..

   Went here to see Jason Aldean and had a great time! I paid extra for the Premier Parking which I HIGHLY recommend because driving into the place it seemed like it would be tough getting out of there with all the hecticness in the area, but the Premier Parking was AS ADVERTISED which I was very grateful for. They weren't kidding when they said EZ in and EZ out! The venue seemed to have a good selection of food and drink but I didn't try any out so I can't comment on that. My seat was 3rd row of the bleacher seats in the 800 section and was a great view for a reasonable price. I live about 2 hours away, but I would go back again because I think it was worth the $$ for a good time. See more..

   Out for a little relaxing and some wine with my husband, the normal one we frequent was packed due to some rain that came thru. This lead us to our drive a little further. for us it was just another 15 minutes. Weather had cleared up and there was plenty of inside or outside seating available, in the sun or undercover outside. Nice to have choices. We went with the sun and there was a beautiful breeze. We got a tasting in the main building, hubby premium me the regular. we shared a couple but decided on a bottle of Rozy which we both enjoyed. we had some snacks from home and there was a guitarist playing which made for an awesome time. All the staff was super friendly, asking if we needed anything but not pushy. Answered questions and made for a great day. Raven took care of us once seated and she was a star employee and kept us smiling and made sure we had what we needed.    I've driven passed this place 1000 times and only stopped by once right before Christmas for a couple wreaths. I took my girlfriend here so we could pick up a couple pumpkins and maybe grab her a cider donut. It's very pretty here. The prices for everything are completely reasonable considering it is technically for the ""tourists". There were an incredible amount of people there. Most obviously not locals. Most likely from very southern Fairfield. Despite that, it didn't feel overbearing. Plenty of space to share and lots to pick up while there. We ended up with a couple gords and some donuts. To visit the petting zoo, you must pay - same with the hayrides. $6 for the zoo (adults), and I would imagine around the same for the hayride. See more..

   My husband and I had tickets for this past Fridays show (6/11/21). I saw reviews that talked about being crammed in - that was not the case but that could be due to Covid. Hopefully, they keep the seats apart as I have no interest in sitting inches from other people. The service was a bit slow, but with everyone coming in at one time the servers must get overwhelmed. We ordered two martinis which should have been $10.50 each, but came in around $12 each. Not sure if they haven't updated their drink menu to reflect current prices, but close enough. The comic was great as was the opener, even though they were a bit late (due to CT traffic). Seems ridiculous that people would rate the comedy club low if they didn't like the comic. With the internet you can find a comedian's set to see if they're a style you like. You shouldn't really blame the place for that. See more..

    My hubby and I had not been to this mall in many years because it was in such bad shape the last time we were there. Wow what an amazing new look it has now! It reminds me of the high end shopping areas in major airports. They have a train ride on the lower level for the kids. The food court is much nicer and cleaner.     This pleasant, quiet park has a very pretty waterfall with a pool at the bottom for swimming, and there are nearby picnic tables where we could sit and enjoy the beautiful scenery. There's also the larger lake for swimming. There are also trails for hiking/walking. This park wasn't too crowded when we came, which was even better.     The man behind the counter was totally pleasant to us and also allowed us to play with the dog in the main building. We were one group of two in the corn maze, and he warned us most people could not figure out where one of the answers was, even though he had checked and it was there. The other family offered to show us where it was and give us the answers, but we said no. Sadly, we should’ve - most of the corn had gone down in the storm the day before and we couldn’t find a few answers. We also went apple picking there the same day (he unlocked it for us, even) and it was fairly slim pickings, but it was incredibly late in the season.     This beautiful east coast sentinel is next to a golf course and private homes. Although there is a road that takes you right by the lighthouse, it is a private road, so you are best to park out on Maple Street and walk in. The lighthouse built in 1802 guards the Connecticut River. It is similar to others in Connecticut but perhaps a little more scenic. I've suggested 1-2 hours based on the walk, which is very flat, but if you could drive down the private road, it would only be 15 - 20 minutes. See more..

    Im local, i do not wish to discredit the incredible job to put up this beautiful place.But one afternoon this week my first time bringing my daughter for bike ride. Probably, 4-5 people hanging out here i think they are intoxicated which i suspect alcoho. They are harmless on my standard coz i've seen worst on my work but one of them started to scream profanity which i think directed to the BIRDS chirping around him. It sounds hilarious but that time im with my daughter and there are couple of other family with very young kids. Then he started gagging then eventually puke on the bench along the walkway. If you can get a room with a view of the beach, this is a great spot to have a party. A word of caution- ask about how big the other parties are if you're renting an event.     Yep, $50-$75 for parking depending on day of week (this is to discourage use by non-residents). Highly suggest going 5 mins down the road to Hammonasset State Park which is much bigger. We didn’t pay to park but instead went at sunset (parking attendants leave after hours) with a picnic.     If you drive through Southport in the Summer, you may see this beach, but unless you're a resident, you can't park here (hint: try the harbor, and walk here). Once Labor Day has passed, feel free to drop in. This is a good location for birders - plenty of transient and resident birds, particularly in the estuary of Sasco Creek. It's a nice place to sunbathe, if you're into that sort of thing. There are toilets, and rather strangely, some kind of device to allow passing cyclists to fix their machines. The town put it in recently, for reasons best known to themselves.     Visited over Mother's Day weekend and saw The Jungle Book. Lots of parking, clean place and the popcorn drink combo were kinda cheap compared to other movie complexes. There are games, small arcade area for kids and adults to enjoy. They have 12 screens. We sat in #8 and the seats seem new or well kept and the seats have cup holders. Stadium seating. The seats are not really comfy. Our movie was only 1 hour and 45 mins and I don't think I could have sat in those seats any longer then that. Overall we had a great time and can see on going back but it would be better if the seats were more cosy.     We belong because the kids have many friends here, and overall the place is ok. The heated pool is convenient when the weather is not cooperating. The tennis courts are a pleasant distraction if you don’t like to waste your day sitting by the pool, the basketball court is well kept, and the playground is nice. The food is not good. It’s a step below avg pool food. The place needs organizational help, especially with maintenance. Many times the garbage is full and it simply looks dirty. The kids working the grill need to be managed more closely. They forgot several of our orders one day last year and it was a mess. On top of everything,I caught the food service mgr in at least six lies while trying to worm his way out of the situation.
