4.5Richter Park Golf Course(48 reviews) - Challenging course Wednesday: 6:00 AM - 6:00 PM Golf Courses
This place compares to private clubs for a lot less money! Bring extra balls as water abounds! Cafe on the Green is awesome too!See more..
One thinks they are playing at a country club! Greens and fairways were in excellent condition - players seem to "give back" to the course by taking care of it. The holes are pleasing to the eyes - lush greens, rolling hills, little ponds/lakes. GPS with all carts included in price and I recommend a cart. This municipal course know how to make the players happy. Nice bar and good food, too.See more..

3.5Fox Hopyard Golf Club(27 reviews) - Great golf course layout and nice restaurant Golf Courses
Played Crumpin Fox last year and wanted to play the sister course. Played week after all heavy rain ended and was surprised how firm conditions were. Many outstanding holes and forced carries but great layout which is much more interesting that Wintonbury Hills. Dinner in club house was very good and took the 113 package which includes 20 for dinner. Love drive up from 95... Will come backSee more..
3.5Hawk's Landing Country Club(21 reviews) - Nice course! Wednesday: 11:00 AM - 11:00 PM Golf Courses Just played here today with three of my friends. The course is in great shape and the greens are rolling fast and true. Whoever set the pins today was really have fun with us; they put the pins in the most difficult places.; next to false fronts, on the steepest sloops , etc.. Okay, you had your fun but don't do that again if you want us to come back. Keep it friendly. The food and drinks were good after the round; we had a good time.See more..
4.5Grassmere Country Club(17 reviews) - relaxed, great little 9 hole course Golf Courses
I have golfed here many times, my husband and father gold here several times a week. It is a nice, quiet little course, relaxed, not stuffy, fun pretty well kept course. Those who work here are locals, they are friendly and talkative, which just helps make you feel more at home. I am by no means a good golfer, but this course is challenging enough, but not so big that I am comfortable on it. Make sure to get a beer or mixed drink after 9, they are very reasonably priced, and offer free pretzels or goldfish as you sit on the small terrace and enjoy watching people finish on the challenging 9th green. If you are looking to enjoy the nature of the day along with the challenge of golf, look for the redtailed hawks that nest near by, the snapping turtles that nest on the course, and the resident fox that is seen now and again. They do local weddings and other gatherings here too, if you are from Enfield, you know someone who golfs here.See more..
3.5Lyman Orchards Golf Club(15 reviews) - Good Course and Food Spent More than 3 hours Golf Courses
We played the White Course. Overall, very well taken care of facility. The course was challenging for me but then again I rarely play. The food was good. There is a small restaurant overlooking the fairways. Plenty of parking available.See more..
Growing up in Woodbridge, this golf club was private so never had the opportunity to play. Facilities are in good condition and pro shop was nice. We played full 18 holes and the first hole is a nice challenge to begin the game. The middle holes are really nice and good mix of par 3's. A few holes were rough, but being late in season, understandable. Will be playing her next season.See more..

4.0Gillette Ridge Golf Club(7 reviews) - Impressive Golf Courses The previous owner of this course turned it into a hayfield. The new owners and superintendent reformed this Palmer gem back to one of the great courses in the state. If you live within 2 hours of this course, make a tee time and play it! It's a great track protected by subtle greens and interesting tee shots. Pick your tee box carefully because this course is exponentially fierce the further back you go! 4.5Top Stone Golf Course(5 reviews) - Nice course Golf Courses Played here in a tournament 2 weeks ago and course was in beautiful shape. We've had a rainy spring and summer and most of the courses in Tolland and Hartford county are wet and muddy. No one's fault, just a lot of rain. Topstone however doesn't seem to have suffered at all. Apparently it has great sand/soil which must allow for great drainage. A superintendent's dream. Pretty course, nice staff, good tournament accommodations. Check it out. You'll be challenged and satisfied.See more..
4.0Rockledge Golf Club(5 reviews) - A delightful and surprising good golf track. Six of us went out for nine holes and had a great time. I've played this nine hole course each summer for the last 10 years and the conditions have never been better. The course is beautiful and the fairways and greens are manicured. Dave and Tom are friendly and if you don’t make a tee time they will get you in relatively easy. I recommend this highly and the blue tees will definitely give you a challenge on the par 5, 7th hole. I always have a great relaxing time, regardless of how I play.See more..

4.5Gainfield Farms Golf Course(2 reviews) - Nice little course, very friendly and helpful staff Wednesday: 7:00 AM - 8:00 PM Spent 1-2 hours Golf Courses Nine hole course, mostly par-3's with one par-4 where you need to hit over a pond. Lengths of par 3's range from 90 to 190 yards. Staff keeps the course in good shape. Some greens are tricky. All staff including club pro Greg are very friendly and accommodating. They occasionally host special events. I've always been able to get off without any problem, although you can reserve a tee time by calling them. Great value for 9 holes.See more..
4.0H Smith Richardson Golf Course(2 reviews) - Smith is a gem of a public course. Always in great shape. Spent More than 3 hours Golf Courses I am a Fairfield resident and perhaps biased, but I really love our local municipal course. I have lived in Stamford and enjoyed Sterling Farms, as well as Richter Park in Danbury. Smith is in as good shape, and a much better value. The only negatives are the city of Fairfield is so cheap that the locker rooms and bathrooms are super dumpy. There is also a dip in the center of the 14th tee box that 2 guys could fix with 2 loads of dirt. But they must need a requisition for that. The resturaunt, Shebeen, is good, and so is the course. Slopes 120-126 for the average golfer. Teaching Pro, Mark Ferrell is a really great instructor. Driving range on the campus.See more..

4.0Ridgefield Golf Course(1 review) - A nice public course in pretty good shape Golf Courses
A short drive from exit 1 off RT 84, near the NY border, you end up in a scenic wooded area in Ridgefield Connecticut where this course is located. My daughter and I grabbed one of only two tee times still available for a Saturday. A popular place. We were non-resident guests and it was $134 including the cart for both of us. They appear to be handling Covid well. The checkin is well organized and there was a starter on both the front and back 9s. We started on the back 9. The carts have a plastic partition between the seats. Most of the tee boxes were in good shape, although there were a few rough spots on some. The fairways were good and the greens, in general were fine. The sand traps had actual sand (other courses I have been playing lately have bad traps). It is an interesting layout, that is not too long from the white tees. The front 9 is more tightly packed and the back 9 has a more remote feel to it. They do have a small practice facility with restricted flight balls. The have big deck upstairs for the restaurant. Only outdoor seating presently. We did not stay for a meal. The beverage cart was kind of expensive. It was $8 for a 16oz bottle of water and a 16oz. Gatorade. I have always liked this course and I’m glad I was able to get back here after many years. The people we met and interacted with - staff and golfers - all seemed nice. See more..
4.0Portland West Golf Course(1 review) - Looking for a Challenge ? Golf Courses Short but hilly,a lot of twist and turns. This golf course seems to be easy but we did find it challenging. Would love to play it again..See more..
I played this place many times when I was young but had not been back for a very long time. I decided to try it out with my daughter who is just learning how to play. The staff were very friendly and accommodating. They had things setup pretty well for Covid times and also had an outdoor booth for food and drinks. The place has a relaxed atmosphere and they do not have a strict dress code. Electric golf carts worked well. The condition of the course was reasonable for a public course and the hole variation was interesting. They had redesigned since I was last here and added some very interesting g and challenging golf holes. The place was somewhat busy but we were neither pushed or waiting on each hole. See more..
