It was a beautiful evening as we cruised south on the Connecticut River to see the Tree Swallows. Along the way we saw Great white egrets, Great blue herons, cormorants, swans, eagles, osprey and a few others. The crew were both knowledgeable and delightful. The hundreds of thousands of Tree Swallows did not disappoint as they showed up right around sunset. I highly recommend. See more..

Not their fault that the river is low - definitely made it a slower pace (they say 3-3.5 and it ok is almost 3.5). They are efficient and get you right onto the river and when you are done, the buses are waiting and quickly get you back. You can bring whatever with you and go to the side to eat (bring a dry bag). As other reviews said, there are adults with alcohol, etc. who are loud. Our family has fun and held onto each other a bit. If you have young kids, hold on as you do get separated at times. Purchased a Yakima roof rack at Clarke Outdoors. Excellent service and a very good price. The employees took the time to accurately measure, adjust, and mount the rack perfectly on my car; very well done. I expect to get years of service from the rack, and I would recommend Clarke Outdoors if you need a roof rack. See more..
