Cool experience here! We went on a double date with some friends and had a blast. The drink menu and atmosphere are very fun. We enjoyed our drinks. Our server was super friendly but was definitely over worked. It was packed and she was the only one for all the tables. Food was lacking. We had the kimchi nachos, baos and pretzels. I have had the classic burger with American cheese 5 times over the last month, and it was great. The fries were also excellent as were the fried pickles. I am not a big fan of chicken wings but for 50 cents a piece (current price) they were meaty and cooked just right. The bar itself is huge with an upstairs were you could have some privacy, or a party for many friends. About a dozen TV's are there for sports viewing including a massive one about 100 inches. I am not a big drinker but noticed a lot of beer choices which looked interesting.See more..
Great food, cocktails and ambience. Will definitely be back. A big step above most pub food. The selection of sliders alone was impressive. Great find! We were out and about checking out different breweries and this one is a little gem. First, it is cozy yet small but they have some limited outdoor seating w heat lamps, and the staff was very friendly, fast, and pleasant. It has a really cool vibe for some reason and my husband really enjoyed their brews. I was my hubby's DD for the day so I didn't taste any but was enjoying the vibe there. There is a restaurant right next door if you want to go food (wings type place) and also, just a side bar, the parking is limited but maybe parking on street. Glad we found this place and would definitely recommend it to our friends. There is a TV too and it is small so plan accordingly I guess! I was very surprised to see the negative review for Matty's. I've been going there for almost 2 years now, primarily during football season and other occasions. Can't say I'm a regular but been there often enough to give it a really good rating. Wings are the best in the area with multiple sauces (highly recommend the chili cilantro) and plenty of beers on tap. The food is consistently good from Jerry's pizza right next door (yes, you can get a slice or 2 during the game). The only thing that prevents me from giving Matty's a 5 rating are the bartenders. They do need to pay more attention to ALL the customers in the bar, not just the one's they know. I definitely recommend a trip if you're in the area.See more..

I've never worked in a cleaner more organized bar...the regulars are wonderful, depending on what you're looking for, since obviously it is located next to a college campus, Thursday, Friday and Saturday nights get pretty packed and rowdy...like any college bar. I can't believe I'm the first to review this bar! Been here off and on for decades and very recently for drinks. A LEGEND in the area on the corner of Reef Road and Fairfield Beach Road. Caters mostly to a crowd younger (late-college age up to mid-30s) than I am now! Gets pretty rowdy here during the summer. Attracts a mix of locals in the area plus renters of cottages/homes on Fairfield Beach Road (which is a pretty expensive proposition during the summer months). Never had a bad drink here. Bartenders are professionals and know their mixed drinks, at least the ones that I've ordered. Drove by and saw the grand opening sign and went in. This place is nice, each karaoke room is named after all the new York boroughs. Lots of free space, bar is nice and so is the staff.
