This place is double the price of better places an hour away in the berkshires....terribly long lines and they kept selling more tickets as people arrived later in the day (pure greed).....to add insult to injury they charge an extra $25 for a double tube and $10 for a helmet (req'd).... A small bottle of water is $3 !!! If you go here bring a lot of cash and be prepared to wait in long long lines..lifts kept breaking down too......go to the berkshires and you'll be much better off !!! See more..
  2. 4.0 Ski Sundown (77 reviews)
    - Great local spot

It’s a small mountain but has good pitch. Gun barrel and the other blacks are very respectable. Satans, on a good day (soft, powder if you can find it) is a blast. Quite frankly, the weather is not very cooperative in CT, so the fact that they can achieve 100% open is a testament to how well the mountain is managed. To compare this to the Alps / Rockies is a joke. That’s not fair. It’s a great local spot, it’s well managed, it’s got good pitch all in all its a lot of fun. Lastly, if you’re looking to learn, sunny side area is perfect for kids and beginners alike! See more..

Spent MLK Day there- tickets sold out, lines not too bad, everyone wearing masks (pandemic 2021), kids had ski lessons, instructors gave them lots of attention and feedback. rented skis, so quick and efficient amazing smooth experience. parking lot a little muddy and annoying but otherwise GREAT day skiing, really enjoyed the vibe, sure its small scale but they have enough lifts and trails and even tubing and a 'magic carpet' bunny slope for my 1st time ever skiing kids. Hope to come back. This place ia a great small-scale operation! highly recommended for families. See more..
