A delightful and surprising good golf track.
We visited old family and friends in West Hartford to escape the heat In Naples FL. What a pleasant experience we enjoyed when we played two rounds of golf at Rockledge Golf Club. Everyone, and we mean everyone, Golf shop, starter, half way house could not have been nicer. We were warned about this municipal courses slow play. Both times we played it in just over 4 hrs! The condition of the course was superb. If you get an opportunity to play this course don’t miss it. !!! Well done West Hartford to put a track together for the benefits of your towns people and visitors like us. You should be proud!

Early fall golf after a wet summer
This course is well maintained, attractive for all levels of play and has a pace of play that is reasonable at 4 1/2 hrs on most occasions. It is also excellent for group or company play. It is located just off of I 84 West about 4 miles from Hartford. Various tee boxes make playing enjoyable at all levels. The greens are in the best seasonal condition right now but are somewhat difficult to read and putt. There is a first cut of about 6' then playable rough. The pro shop is attentive. Fall rates are now in effect but still somewhat high compared to some of the other quality courses in the greater Hartford area.

Nice Course
Rockledge is always in great shape. There are some holes that can be challenging (I have an 8 iron stuck up in a tree on #17), but the greens aren’t very tricky. I usually shoot low 90’s at most courses, but I shoot high 80’s here. Pace of play is always quick and the price is reasonable.
