Saturday: 8:00 AM - 6:00 PM Boat Tours • Boat Rentals • Private Tours • Dolphin & Whale Watching • Nature & Wildlife Tours
The Fun Boats Dolphin Cruises image
This was a spur of the moment decision to ride. Booked the night before online for the 9am next day and it was super simple with detailed plans sent to text and email. The ride was soothing and laid back with several opportunities to see dolphins in multiple areas. Captain Rusty and Deckhand Morgan were great! Morgan did great with all the kids on the boat, remembering each of their names and checking on them throughout the ride. Though we personally did not partake in the water war, it was entertaining watching from inside the boat. Cap'n and Morgan were right in the mix of it. I guarantee you will Enjoy! See more..

  4. 5.0 Bryant Denny Stadium (668 reviews)
    - Look no further for college gameday.
    Arenas & Stadiums
    Bryant Denny Stadium image
If you're a college football fan, then Tuscaloosa is Rome, and all roads lead here. Bryant Denny is the Colosseum, Nick Saban is the emperor, and the Crimson Tide is the most feared gladiatorial regime in the empire. That being said, I am not really a college football fan. I came down here to see my team (Vanderbilt) get absolutely annihilated. My point is that it was still an incredible experience. I make the above analogy to give weight to how significant this stadium is to the world of sports. Even with the hype, the experience did not disappoint. The roar of the crowd as so many die hards lived and died play-by-play was incredible. There aren't words to describe it, you simply have to immerse yourself in it. This needs to be a bucket list item for anyone remotely considering themself a college football fan. Appreciatively, Clayton Cohn See more..

  6. 5.0 National Memorial for Peace and Justice (536 reviews)
    - Hits like a punch in your stomach
    Saturday: 9:00 AM - 5:00 PM Historic Sites • Monuments & Statues
National Memorial for Peace and Justice image
I visited many important sites from the civil rights movement during this recent trip through Atlanta, Birmingham, Selma and Montgomery. None had as much an impact as my visit to the National Memorial for Peace and Justice. The layout is very simple, but so powerful. As you enter you pass through the 816 columns (each representing a county where a racial lynching was recorded). 816 counties in 32 states as I was told while here. The first columns are at ground level, just like tombstones. As you move through the museum, the columns are gradually raised, until the end where they are high off the ground, as lynched bodies would appear. Outside there is a second set of columns, which I believe are laid out to represent coffins. I spent about 2 hours here and the $5 admission (yes, only $5) includes entry into to the nearby Legacy Museum, which was almost as important. I will definitely visit again the next time I am here. - Must see, important part of history
Saturday: 10:00 AM - 2:00 PM Historic Sites • Points of Interest & Landmarks • Religious Sites
Dexter Avenue King Memorial Baptist Church image
Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr., used the pulpit of this unassuming red brick church to lead the 1955-56 Montgomery bus boycott, which ignited the civil rights movement. Steeped in history, this church, where Dr. King served as pastor from 1954 to 1960, was also the site of many civil rights meetings during that era. See more..

Cathedral of the Immaculate Conception image
Amazing cathedral! Never thought I would find such a beautiful church and cathedral down south. One of my favorite stained glass windows including the ones I’ve seen in France and Spain. It represents the Infant Mary being presented to the priest. Her expression of sublime admiration is so incredible she looks like she is in a state of ecstacy. The level of admiration is only possible when one practices the height of purity and humility See more..

    Airboat Express - Tours image
Airboat Express tour was one of the highlights of our beach trip! We had a broad range of ages and everyone loved it from the 3-year-old, the teenagers, and even the grandparents. We booked a 1-hour eco tour but upgraded to the combo tour after we arrived so that we could get a little bit of speed (completely safe, not scary at all even for the youngest child.) And we saw a lot of alligators, some very close to the boat. Got some great pics, but even better memories. See more..

A wide array of merchandise is also available in store and online with new designs and the classic duds worn by Mick Jagger, Bog Seger, Willie Nelson, Linda Rondstadt, Rod Stewart etc. Tour guides start in the basement where the publishing offices were, proceed to the main studio and end in the gift shop of course! There are numerous Swamper sightings! Group tour rates are available and the studio is open to requests for special events and occasions like weddings and birthday bashes. - Fishing with Captain Andrew
Saturday: 6:00 AM - 9:00 PM Fishing Charters & Tours
    FinAtics Fishing Charters image
I would like to thank Captain Andrew for the time of our life on the water. Andrew said it might be slow because of the rodeo. The captain said they’d caught some fish on a selected location yesterday and we would try it first, and it was all on from there! We caught over 100 fish, 40 keepers and we kept him hopping! Andrew keeping saying, “Reel Randy, Reel!” haha. The trip was shortened due to the storm, but for 2.5 hours, we had a ball, and the trip was well worth the money. I would highly recommend Andrew as a guide, even though he hit every bump on the water on the way in. Haha. I asked him to turn around and hit the one he missed. We joked and cut up with him all day long, and I know we won’t forget him, and he will never forget the crew from VA. I expect a review on us from Captain Andrew haha See more..

  23. 5.0 Crescent Theater (164 reviews)
    - Outstanding Owner Of A Marvelous Theater
    Saturday: 1:00 PM - 10:00 PM Theaters
    Crescent Theater image
We were visiting Mobile for the first time while attending a convention. Before going we had looked at things to do in Mobile and noted the high reviews the Crescent Theater had. On the first day we were there, during some free time, we went walking around the downtown area. We encountered the Crescent Theater and noticed it was showing a movie we wanted to see. Not having the time to see it then, we returned to our hotel. Later in the week we had an afternoon free and made a beeline to the theater. While we were expecting a quaint theater, we had not expected the delightful owner who sold us the tickets and then chatted with us for quite a while. He alone was worth the price of admission. Needless to say we also enjoyed the show I expect to be back in Mobile in June 2023 and will definitely go see whatever is showing. I only regret that there is not an equivalent place near my home See more..

  25. 5.0 Shrine of the Most Blessed Sacrament (145 reviews)
    - Amazing journey for the spirit
Saturday: 6:00 AM - 9:00 PM Religious Sites
Shrine of the Most Blessed Sacrament image
Thousands of people journey to it every year, taking in an atmosphere of peace and serenity that engulf them as they approach the Shrine of the Most Blessed Sacrament of Our Lady of the Angels Monastery. A long white picket fence leads visitors to the gates of the 380-acre property through which they see the Shrine. Mother Angelica, the Foundress and Abbess of the monastery, built the Shrine in the 13th century style, resembling the Basilica of St. Francis in Assisi, Italy. From the inlaid marble floors to the breathtaking nearly eight-foot monstrance, every detail of the Main Church leads the soul to contemplate the transcendent beauty of God. The Daily Conventual Mass with the Nuns is at 7 a.m., with Priests available to hear Confession after Mass. The Nuns chant the Liturgy of the Hours daily at 6 a.m., 11:30 a.m., 2:00 p.m., and 5 p.m. The Shrine includes a permanent display of full-size photographic images of the Shroud of Turin. The images stand eight feet tall in glass cases and are backlit for viewing. They are on display in the entrance of the Shrine’s Lower Crypt Church. Other sites to see on the grounds include: Castle San Miguel, which houses the El Nino Gift Shop, a conference room, dining facility, and hall that displays medieval armor and manuscripts; a year-round indoor nativity scene displaying life-like figures made by Fontanini in Italy; a replica of the Lourdes Grotto that rests alongside the Black Warrior River, which surrounds the Shrine property; and the John Paul II Eucharistic Center that offers tours Monday-Saturday at 10AM and 2PM. - INCREDIBLE - highly recommend!!!
    Saturday: 8:00 AM - 8:00 PM Adrenaline & Extreme Tours • Skydiving
    Skydive Alabama image
The instructors and videographers jumping with us were INCREDIBLE. I felt so safe the entire time and cannot say enough good things about them. I tandem jumped with Ben Griswold, and I could not have asked for a better first skydive. THANK YOU, BEN!! I’m so sad that I can’t remember the names of all the others who were with us, but they all made our experience so great (I went with 2 friends). 10/10 there for sure. The only factors that could’ve made our day smoother would be: more communication as far as how much $ we owe (and a heads up that we will have to buy goggles), and a little more notice that the jump would be in Gadsden instead of Cullman (I realize this is temporary and probably has nothing to do with the workers we met that day). I highly recommend skydiving here!!!! See more..

  41. 5.0 Lowndes County Interpretive Center (65 reviews)
    - A must see!!
    Visitor Centers • History Museums
    Lowndes County Interpretive Center image
We were driving from Montgomery to Selma and needed a rest stop. Saw the signs for this interpretive center run by the National Parks and pulled over. What an incredibly well done interactive exhibit. You start off with a 25 minute film that is so informative and well done about the historic walk from Selma to Montgomery. When the film is over the side door opens that welcomes you into the exhibit. Lots of information and hands on exhibits. The walls are filled with quotes, the sculptures are striking and life sized, there was even an exhibit that replicated the inside of one of the tents in the tent cities set up along the walk. If you can handle the Alabama heat there is also a large outdoor walking path that simulates the tent city as well. It was 100° and we are from the north so we couldn’t handle it!! The parks official that was on site was very welcoming and knowledgeable. See more..
