   This is not a place that I would visit anytime again soon. It's a bar, nothing more, a lot less. They serve everything in plastic cups - this place screams cheap and something someone threw together with no thought to anything other than serving beer.    Came to visit, and see the waterfall that was pictured on the state park website, only to end up NOWHERE in the middle of a forest. No signs whatsoever! Just a semi groomed dirt road that ended at a turnaround, possibly private property. Looked up an office, but it said it was 5 hours away. Big bummer, after a two hour drive. See more..

   We used to come to this park at least 3 times every summer to camp. We have noticed a decline in up keep the last 2 years but this last time was the worst. The bathrooms had not been cleaned in who knows how long. Spiders were so thick you couldn't even close the shower curtain. Once we got in the shower there wasn't a shower head. No toilet paper. That's just the men's bathroom. In the women's bathroom there was LITERAL feces spread on the stall knobs and doors. In addition to that, the lake water was so disgusting the kids didn't want to swim and the grass around the lake was so overgrown you couldn't stand at the edge to fish. As if that all isn't bad enough the management has other family living on the property setting off fireworks and generally being obnoxious. Needless to say, we cut this most recent trip short. I would not recommend this park under its current state or management. See more..

   Identified as Site #51, Northwest Loop of the North Alabama Birding Trail, the farm features two wooded birding observation areas as well as three ponds and six miles of nature trails divided into 10 paths.    My husband closed his tab at this bar but forgot to pick up his debit card off the counter. When we went back the next day to see if it was there, they handed it to him with a receipt for $5. He asked what it was for and they said they figured since he left his card there he must not care about it and would cancel it and they wouldn't get paid. So they charged his card $5 without his consent or his signature. They said they do this ALL THE TIME. Isn't that illegal?! Obviously if he went back to get it, he cares about it. If he went back to get it, it wasn't canceled. He asked them to give him 2 beers for the $5 and they refused. They told him he shouldn't have forgotten his card on the counter. ??? He left a review on their Facebook page Sunday and they deleted it. Seems pretty shady to me.. See more..
