From a camping standpoint, the park was shady and quiet for the most part. Some rv spots are a little cramped but we made due with a 32’ trailer. Park personnel are constantly circulating and everyone entering the campground is stopped and verified. They are in the middle of new construction at one of the beaches and it looks like it will be a really nice addition when finished. Firewood and propane, as well as a very few snack items are available at the campground store. When quiet time hits after dark, it’s definitely quiet so you can sleep well. A very good stay, just needed a little more room at our lot. See more..

We visited on a weekday morning. As a family of four, we were offered a discounted family pack admission for $20. We started with museum. Under current COVID-19 restrictions, there are a limited number of people allowed in the small museum. We waited in line a few minutes (10-15) for this. I recommend visiting the museum first in order to have a better appreciation for what you will view in the fort. The history of the site is impressive, though much of it somber. My kids, ages 8 and 11, thoroughly enjoyed exploring the fort. We packed water bottles which were much needed in the summer heat. See more..

This paved, wide pathway runs adjacent to Bradford Creek and is perfect for walkers, runners, cyclists, and those walking their dogs. There are several trash bins along the route, as well as poop bag dispensers for those walking their dogs. The pathway was immaculate and in excellent condition. We'll be back frequently to walk our dogs! See more..

My mom and I dropped by one afternoon and it was such a great way to spend an hour! We were staying at The Lodge (highly recommend btw) and loved seeing the creatures here: all kinds of snakes and turtles, a bat, seahorses, and more. A Hawk and owls outside. The staff were great about spending time answering questions. And it’s free!! Great stop. See more..

    - Great place for afternoon fun!
Biking Trails • Parks • Playgrounds
Great place to spend the afternoon. There is a large playground, a splash pad, and a gazebo with plenty of seating. A new public pool is opening soon and there is a great wing restaurant on site. Inside, there is a fun arcade for when the weather is not great. The old golf course has plenty of walking paths and several bike trails that cut through the woods surrounding the park. See more..
