  3. 5.0 Oak Hollow Farm (50 reviews)
    - Amazing place!
Spent 2-3 hours Farms • Horseback Riding Tours
    Oak Hollow Farm image
We took our family horse back riding and it was so much fun! We had a 14, 8 and 6 year old with us. The horses were all so calm and none of my kids felt uncomfortable, they all wanted to keep riding! The staff was so friendly and very knowledgeable about the horses. They informed us of every time there was a hill, grass the horses might stop and eat, etc. the price was great for what all you get out of it. I would definitely go back again! See more..
  4. 4.5 Smith Farms (28 reviews)
    - Great selection of savory and sweet goodies
    Farms
    Smith Farms image
Always worth a stop when passing through Cullman; it is very close to I-65 Exit 308. They have smoked meats, cheeses, vegetables, jellies/jams, pickled everything, salad dressings, peanut butter that they make themselves, candies, popcorn, and more. It's a small store but laid out well for browsing, and has an inviting atmosphere. They have an upcharge for using credit cards so take some cash with you. We like to bring a cooler so we can keep our bacon etc. cool until we get home (we live an hour away). See more..
  5. 4.5 Hillcrest Farm (25 reviews)
    - A Nice weekend trip over to the farm.

    Hillcrest Farm image
We go every year to stock up on lots of goodies. Their blueberries are the sweetest around which we buy already picked and freeze them. They last all year. Their sauces, jams, pickles, etc. are also on our grocery list, along with fresh vegies they just picked. I highly recommend a trip to the farm and we love the Elberta/Foley area, too. See more..
  6. 4.5 Isom's Orchard (22 reviews)
    - Support Your Local Farm!
    Spent < 1 hour Farms
    Isom's Orchard image
We brought our three daughters to Isom’s in orderly choose a pumpkin for each of them to paint and also to see what else they have to offer. This was our first visit. Our girls, 5, 4, and 2 years old, had a great time wandering through the pumpkins and display antique farm equipment. Isom’s is a full working farm/orchard, and my wife and I loved the fact that just behind the stand is the full farm operation. Their fresh apples are excellent and the apple cider/apple cider slushes are some of the best I’ve ever tasted. It’s not the kind of place to travel far to see and make a day out of for the kids, just not enough “to do,” as some may expect. But for a real harvest time treat to an enchanting farm/fruit and vegetable stand with some tastebud-altering good cider for purchase, I highly recommend Isom’s Orchard. Brings the kids for 30 minutes of fun. Cash only. See more..
  7. 5.0 Tate Farms (21 reviews)
    - A fun day out!
    Wednesday: 9:00 AM - 6:00 PM Farms
    Tate Farms image
Tate farms makes their business in the fall with their pumpkin fields, cotton fields, hay rides, corn train, hay maze and various play things. They feature 2 huge jumping trampolines, one geared for the younger kids, and our favorite, the pedal cars! Even the adults can act like kids in pedal tractors and four wheelers, all safely enclosed on a dirt track. The giant rubber tire swing was a big hit, as was the huge corrugated plastic slide, big enough for the adults, and the 4 huge corn boxes. There are climbing structures all over the property, as well as picnic areas. The hay ride goes out to the pumpkin fields, where for 7.00, you can pick and bring home any size pumpkin you can carry. The farm is open till 6.00, and also hosts private functions after hours. See more..

Obviously the fruit and vegetables are seasonal, so they are very fresh. We got some delicious strawberries! We were only in town a short time or we would have gotten more. Definitely try the ice cream! We got the peach and it was delicious! They also have a large selection of jams, jellies, sauces, and pickles. We picked up several of those to try out. See more..
  10. 5.0 Blue Moon Farm (12 reviews)
    - This Place is a Musical Gem
    Theaters • Farms
    Blue Moon Farm image
Right down the road from Orange Beach, AL you can find the most wonderful setting for music. It's a working farm where Cathe has made the time & effort to build a stage & provide a place for local & regional musical artists to play their songs. It's a small community type of situation - BYOB, BYOChair, bring a dish to share with others, make a donation to pay the artists & enjoy the music. Kids are welcome. It's a 'house party' set on the farm. Barbara & I caught a folk/Americana/blues set last weekend & enjoyed ourselves thoroughly! A lovely experience... cannot wait for the next show! (PLEASE NOTE - this is a working farm that has animals. If you are driving a BMW & are worried about parking in a pasture, or concerned about your Gucci shoes being soiled, please do not come here & then trash Blue Moon Farm on Trip Advisor. It is a farm.) See more..

  13. 5.0 4D Farm (6 reviews)
    - BEST Alabama Farm for the ENTIRE Family
Spent More than 3 hours Farms
    4D Farm image
This farm is the best for any family with any age including fun for the adults too. I highly recommend you go for an entire day at least 4 hours or you won't get to do everything. They have a huge variety of food and bathrooms scattered all over the farm. Some bathrooms are portable but most are normal with hand washing stations. The maze was real good and high corn. They have a cannon shoot candy out of it and the kids can do trick or treating on the ground lol. They have a piggy race. There is a tubing hill that goes pretty fast yet not so scary. There's a zip line and roller coaster that goes around 3x. In the gift shop they have cute 4D Farm shirts for sale along with other drinks and if its a hot day it has a/c. Hay ride to go pick out pumpkins. There is so much more that I didn't list of things to do here. It was worth the 1 hour drive. We will be back and as a new family tradition. See more..

    - My visit ti Bennett Farms
    Farms
    Bennett Farms image
Bennett Farms is just a picture. This is a place you can carry children and they will have a ball. You might just be having a bigger ball than the children in the end. They are something for all. It is just what it says, "A farm". The way they are set up is what month of year you go. Such as the Fall, that's means Pumpkins, wagon rides and kids getting in the Pumpkin patch etc. Pick out your month and head to the farm and have a ball. See more..
  16. 5.0 Betty's Berry Farm (3 reviews)
    - Lovely Side Trip
    Spent 1-2 hours Farms
    Betty's Berry Farm image
We stopped at this “U pick” Blueberry Farm on our way to Gulf Shores and it was delightful. We paid $10 for 4 adults and 2 toddlers to pick a gallon of fresh blueberries. The owner was friendly, with a sweet little dog. There was an antique restored tractor and a swinging bench for photos. Different varieties are planted to make certain there will be fresh berries available for picking all summer. All in all, it was a delightful way to spend an hour and break up the 8 hour drive to the beach. See more..

    - A fun day for three generations
    Farms
    Hidden Rivers Farm image
We had a blast! Grand daughter, daughter, and I (72 yr old). The staff was super friendly and helpful, and there were lots of fun things to do no matter what your age. As an adult, I appreciated the gourmet 'fun food' offerings. You have to try the Apple Nachos for dessert: imagine a caramel apple that is EASY (and un-messy) to eat, but so much more decadent! And turkey legs are favorite fair-food, right? But you can get theirs STUFFED with SMOKED mac n cheese. Yummy!. Definitely needed to work off the meal, and the maze was quite challenging! And trying to find, then solve the clues to the riddle added interest. Games, bubbles, pumpkins (of course), trails, petting zoo, these big hamster ball things, climbing wall - Can't wait to see what they add next year! See more..

Welcome to idyllic Shel-Clair Farms (no ATVs or hunting), a family-owned and family-operated boarding and riding farm located in Vincent, just thirty minutes outside of Birmingham, Alabama. Whether you’re looking for a place to board your horse or you just want to ride your horse on our scenic trails and get away from it all for a day, you’ve come to the right place. We are open year-round for horseback riding. Bring your horse and enjoy 12 miles of well-marked trails over 1,000 acres of this historic farm. Meander through woodlands, pasture land, cotton fields, and corn fields, and rolling hills with beautiful views. Along the way, you’ll likely see some of our friendly neighbors—the rabbits, ducks, deer, and wild turkey who wander around the property (Shh! Don’t tell the cows; they think they’re the only ones here). We recommend stopping for a picnic along the peaceful rainbow trout stream. Call for pricing and services offered. See more..
