Wallace Boat Rentals makes it easy to rent a boat to enjoy time on the water. This was our 2nd year to rent from them. Dylan was our guy and he gave us tips on where to go. Our grandsons loved the double decker pontoon so they could slide into the water. They looked for shells and sea creatures on the islands and we stopped at Pirates' Cove for lunch. We purchased our boats from these guys and they are top notch people! I wanted to give a shout out to these guys. In Memorial Day we made the mistake of choosing another company to shuttle us to float the creek. When we put in we realized two couples with us did not have life vests. We asked the people that we used to shuttle us if they could borrow 2 vests and they would not let them. We put in the creek anyways and floated down to the Terrapin Outdoor Center. The couple went in and asked if they could borrow or buy 2 vests. Terrapin Outdoor let them "borrow" the vests. Now mind you this is us using another company to float the creek! I just believe these guys care more about just getting your money. I just wanted to let everyone know the type of people that are Terrapin Outdoor Center. Great people! As I live only a few miles from Big Wills Outfitters, I use them quite often to canoe or Kayak on Big Wills Creek. This is an easy float that takes between 4 and 6 hours depending on how often you pull over. The Outfitters are great, the put in and take out areas make this a very easy float.See more..
Always bring my SeaRay to Kowaliga Marina and have never been disappointed. They stay busy but the wait is worth the effort as they keep to their schedule and repair what's needing repair at a reasonable cost. Compared to other local marinas, Kowaliga is the best...hands down!See more..

These folks worked us in without a reservation. I didn’t realize how small the place was, so we were incredibly lucky to rent a pontoon boat with no notice. Owners were very courteous, boat was in nice shape. It was a little nerve racking driving through Weiss Lake since certain spots get shallow quickly out of no where with not much marking, but couldn’t have been happier with the company. See more..

We took the 4 mile kayak trip. The rapids on this stretch are rated class I and II. So, it was ideal for novice kayakers such as ourselves. We lucked up and had great weather (July 4, 2014). A friend and I took our 8 and 10 year olds to play at Oak Mountain, we found Flipside and the kids were begging to try. One part is a giant floating, inflatable obstacle course! They loved it! 45 mins and they were exhausted. Excellent way to play hard and keep cool! There is also a wakeboard course that looks fun. Oh and stand up paddle board and canoe rentals.
