    views of lake & town
I was thrilled to find this completed rails-to-trails greenspace. We biked the entire 2.5 miles. It was a balmy Thanksgiving weekend and lots of locals were walking this trail. The terminus at one end is the rebuilt train depot in downtown Eufaula. There's an interpretive sign at the trailhead across the street. The other end peters out at Old Creek Town Recreation Area. Between it's paved with views of Lake Eufaula Reservoir and surrounding wetland areas. There's some confusing spots on Marina Drive and behind Moorer Middle School. But this was a smart play by the town and something to take advantage of if you live around or visit Eufaula, AL.

    Welcome trail walk.
I was traveling through Eufaula and stopped here to get some exercise. This was a beautiful, fun trail with markers and interesting sights along the way. I loved how the old railroad tracks were still there. It was interesting to learn about the Native American history although sad as well. The only downside is there is no bathroom available so take care of that first. The houses in Eufaula are beautiful but this trail was my favorite activity.
