Amazing cathedral! Never thought I would find such a beautiful church and cathedral down south. One of my favorite stained glass windows including the ones I’ve seen in France and Spain. It represents the Infant Mary being presented to the priest. Her expression of sublime admiration is so incredible she looks like she is in a state of ecstacy. The level of admiration is only possible when one practices the height of purity and humility

Beautiful Cathedral
Highly recommend a visit to the Cathedral. The stained glass windows in particular which show Mary in the life of Jesus are beautifully done as well as the many statues. The interior inspires prayer and future visits. I was just sorry that we were not there for mass--just a visit.

Beauty and Serentity
The Basilica is very beautiful. My wife and I were strolling along Dauphin Street after a late breakfast saw the historical marker and decided to step into the building. The recently restored stained glass windows were stunning on this bright clear morning. I have visited many such churches in the US and all over the world (both Catholic and Protestant). While this was smaller than many large cathedrals, it was still very beautiful for a city the size of Mobile. We were alone in the sanctuary and the serenity and beauty were inspiring. After a while soaking up the experience, we left feeling joyous and restored.
