While personally I am not a fan of the south and their maintenance of confederate sites, I'm sure native Americans feel the same way about little big horn and Mt Rushmore. It's interesting to see this huge armory, slowly deteriorating but obviously a formidable building and strength point for the south during the civil war.See more..
3.5Surge Adventure Park(4 reviews) - Get that energy out! Thursday: 11:00 AM - 8:00 PM Game & Entertainment Centers
This was a great outing for my 3yr old grandson. I was a bit worried that he would be trampled by older kids but other children were mindful of his little self. They also have "staff" on the floor but most of them were busy chatting with each other or on their phones. They have a few snacks and drinks for sale but nothing to make a meal of. Overall good experience but I'd definitely parent and keep an eye on your children. See more..

3.5Jay Landings Marina(3 reviews) - Decatur Alabama RV Park Marinas I truly enjoyed staying there. The prices were good and the management were friendly. I didn't use the marina portion of the park, but it looks like they could launch just about anything from there. There are other options (more famous) but they had the rv's almost on top of each other...almost like sardines. You can stretch your arms there, picnic areas, fishing docks...just nice.See more..

Sep 8 , 2017 my husband and I saw Clint Black at this lovely old theater. It was originally built back in the 30's. The sound was great and the staff is very helpful and courteous. They have a nice bar area that serves drinks and light snacks. We had tickets for center balcony front row, usually some of the best seats in the house; however if you are short (I am 5' 2) you can not see over the ledge in front of you it was so disappointing. The lady that seated us bent down and whispered in my ear that the balcony was not sold out and when the concert started we might want to move to a vacnt seat behind us. Thats exactly what we did and enjoyed a wonderful concert with Clint Black and his band. If you are in Tuscaloosa be sure to see what attractions are at this grand old Theater. A must see.See more..

The staff were very friendly, the facility smelled really good - AND we got to see a free concert. The staff was very helpful as the power had gone out just before I got there - The band they had playing sprang into action as soon as the power came back on and jammed all night long. We had a great time and won a couple bucks too. Oh yeah and the WINGS!!!!!!!!!!!! If you order anything, you've got to try the wings ~ they are delicious!!!See more..
3.0TP's Bar & Grill(2 reviews) - Not what it use to be Bars & Clubs The Good: The Food, they still have really good food. They change bands every weekend, which can be a good thing, if you don't care for a certain band or type of music. At some point there is always a genre for everyone's liking The Bad: $5.00 cover charge on top of exceptionally high drink prices. Beer's start around $3.50, i didn't dare order a mixed drink. The wait staff is ok, nothing to write home about. Coverage went from $2.00 to $3.00 and the last time I went was $5.00 It's not a favorite place of mine, but I will go when the girls drag me there. The thing i do miss is Karaoke. they use to have karaoke 2 nights a week, to the best of knowledge that don't have it at all.See more..
3.0Big Wills Creek Campground & Tubing(2 reviews) - Nice float /tubing for family. River Rafting & Tubing Arrived around 10am. Sign the waiver and pay for admission.and tips for driver (tips is optional). Brought our own inflatable , stick and pump. Drive to the drop off and inflate our float and then start our journey. It is about 1 to 1.5 hour very calm and refreshing ride. I will probably bring a small paddle next time in order to control my direction better. The tree branches that maybe torny worries me.a bit. But otherwise the trip is excellent... the take out is simple. The driver is waiting there. And take u back to the drop off. U can go as many times as u wish. All.thumbs up See more..

3.0Bay House Pub(2 reviews) - Great place to shoot pool Thursday: 11:30 AM - 11:00 PM Bars & Clubs
A great low key place to shoot pool with a view of the bay. This bar is located on the second floor of the building. The owners are normally there and are extremely friendly to me and my friends. I've left a pair of sunglasses and returned later to have them given back to me, the employees are good people in my book. If you're looking for a quiet scene to have some fun, check this place out! I'll keep going back as I have for years. See more..
The 2 ladies at the front were so nice. You will find some antiques here but what I mostly saw were new items. They had some of the most amazing glass art pieces and if I had a place for them I would have gotten one. 3.5Zoobeez's Indoor Petting Zoo(2 reviews) - Great way to spend an hour This location was reported permanently closed Zoos
While we were staying in Gulf Shores My wife happened upon this while searching for things to do inside as it had gotten too cold for the beach. Great family run little petting zoo and only $9 per person with a cup of carrots another $3. Fed goats, lama, kangaroo. Animals were very friendly and love to be fed and pet. Was fun for adults that wanted to act like kids! Plan on no more than an hour but it will be an enjoyable one.See more..
My husband and I both look for small collectibles (whimsical and shabby chic) and this place really different offer anything like that. They did offer furniture, other types of collectibles, kitchenware, glassware, ceramics, pottery, art and things along that line. It was well organized and clean. Even though they had some nice items there wasn't anything of interest to us. If you are in the area it would be worth a stop anyway. I found it strange that there was no one at the front desk when we entered or when we left.See more..
3.0Speck Tackle Lure(2 reviews) - Great Experience Thursday: 6:00 AM - 9:00 PM Fishing Charters & Tours
My husband and I was looking for a great fishing experience while vacationing in Mobile, AL. The name says it all. “Speck Tackle Lure”. We felt safe. Capt. Yano tired to do everything to make the trip “Speck Tackle Lure”. The weather was suspect as there was rain on the horizon. Capt. Yano kept his eye on the weather as we moved to several spots trying to catch the “big one”. We caught lots of speckled trout and yes, we caught the “big one”. Capt. Yano was attentive to us the whole time. At the end of the trip Capt. Yano offered to take us to lunch at one of the local seafood restaurants. We had other plans but was honored he asked. I hope to do this again in the future.See more..

3.0Lake Heflin(1 review) - Walking, Fishing or Canoeing, the Lake is a nice Sideline Spent 1-2 hours Bodies of Water
Lake Heflin is located only a few blocks from the downtown area of the small rural Southern town of Heflin. Surrounded by trees, flowers and a nice neighborhood, the lake is a relaxing spot for those who want to put a canoe into the water and/or enjoy a walk around the lake on the paved streets. Local residents and visitors enjoy the exercise any time of the year and if you have the proper fishing license you can also find a place to throw out a hook and spend as long a time as you wish. There are several pull-off rough parking areas and if you visit on any day besides Sunday you may be able to use the parking at the nearby Episcopal Church. After you have enjoyed some time in nature you may wish to drive back in town, visit a local restaurant or check some antique shopsSee more..
3.0Encore Resales(1 review) - In Transition Spent < 1 hour Speciality & Gift Shops Formerly Encore Resales had a lot of stalls with antiques and upcycled material. These are my favorite places to visit, so I was disappointed recently when I visited after having not been in for awhile and saw they are reducing their booths and adding a lot more new furniture for sale. However, I still had fun visiting the booths left and outside they often will have garden pots and furniture out front. Still worth a visit and one of several within a drive along the route 31 corridor. If you want more old than new, this would no longer be my first choice, though.See more..

I thought this shop had some nice things but nothing I haven't seen before. They also didn't have shabby chic collectibles that both of us collect. The people working here weren't as friendly as their sister-store Southern Antiques and Accents. The main aisles were wide and clear and the booths were well organized. You can find antiques, vintage, collectibles, art, glassware, porcelain, china, pottery, rustic, tools, vintage clothes, lighting, some salvage, vinyl, musical instruments, and much more.See more..
