Good seafood

The Shrimp Alfredo, and the seafood plates with shrimp and crab legs are excellent. The atmosphere is very pleasant and the wait staff helpful! The prices are reasonable for such good food. The jazz music adds a lot to the ambiance!

    Another Time
We did not get a chance to attend because the establishment was closed. I called on a Thursday evening to find out the hours of operation, if food was served and if there was a cover charge. I was told the facility opened at 8 PM, light foods were served, no cover charge and the entertainment for the evening was karaoke. We arrived at approximately 8:30 PM and found the doors locked. The establishment looks good and I'd like to check it out. It will have wait for another time.

    Jazzy maybe - not classy
Jazzy Bones - on the outside looks quite upscale & classy with its smoked windows, gold accents, outside seating and good signage. Walking in - the space is wide open and spacious. One is greeted in a friendly manner. Depending on how crowded, you can sit where you choose. Again, the interior is rather upscale with lots of black lacquered finishes, golden lamp light. The seating and tables are a mish mash of high-top tables and collapsible tables and chairs. Understanding budgetary constraints - I can see how the assortment of odd tables and chairs can happen. Found it odd to notice that the new speakers hanging in the corners playing a nicely, and softly eclectic mix of music that was easy on the ears and suited a wide range of tastes still had the labels on them. It looked, well, tacky...especially in light of all the effort for everything else to look more upscale. The manager should be ashamed of his or her lack of attention to that detail. Makes me wonder what else they miss. The place is clean so score many points for that and there is a bar, which looks cheery and sparkly clean - so that the multitude of liquor bottles wink in the light. The waitress (and there seemed to be only one server) showed up for work, like she cared to be there, meticulously well-groomed in a solid black ensemble that went with the classy look Jazzy Bones looked to be trying to make. She moved softly in and out of the area almost wraith like. She was attentive given the small crowd at the time we were there. When asking for something like a knife - she promised to bring it back and forgot. Other than that, she was competent and likeable. The menu has a lot of nice choices - some of them are a bit pricy. I chose Chicken and waffles and my husband had Chicken Alfredo with a side salad. The food was good, especially the wings that came with the waffles - they were exquisitely spiced and not too much spice. They were juicy and really succulent. I would go there just for the wings. The waffles (there were 2) were FROZEN waffles. They were lukewarm by the time they came to the table, even though the chicken was nicely hot. My husband's meal was a nicely mild and creamy alfredo sauce. The Alfredo sauce tasted like it was made from a packaged mix. Even so, it was a good flavor and not heavy in the way some scratch made sauces can be. The pasta was nicely cooked and the chicken meat was tender and abundant. Okay - so why did I give it a POOR rating? The meals were served in Styrofoam TO GO boxes with about the cheapest serving utensils possible. So, with all that was right, that was the BIGGEST wrong possible. My husband's side salad came out of the kitchen beautifully presented on a real plate. There is obviously someone skilled in presentation in the back of the house. So, they obviously have some dishes back in the kitchen. Being served in Styrofoam containers took every bit of the class out of the experience. On a Saturday night, even early, the place should have been packed especially when one considers how few "not fast food" places there are in the area. If I wanted to eat off Styrofoam - I could have gone to their food truck that sits across the street most afternoons. Being served that way would not have surprised me. Having my meal presented in to go containers with a plastic fork and paper napkin so did not fit the expectation when walking into Jazzy Bones. The fact that we had to ask for a plastic knife so that we didn't have to eat caveman style was ridiculous, as well. Lots of places serve drinks in plastic cups, so that didn't ruin the ambiance or the expectation at first blush. Jazzy Bones has what it takes to be a first-class restaurant if that's what they are shooting for. If they are trying to make a name for themselves in this town - they should go visit Rodeo's Mexican Restaurant, El Jalisco and Old Mexico. They serve customers on real plates with forks that won't come apart while eating, for outstandingly affordable pricing. The waitress was the classiest part of the experience. For $39.00 before tip for Chicken and Waffles, Chicken Alfredo, a side salad and 2 iced teas - I would only go back for the wings and a drink at the bar... maybe. I certainly wouldn't take out of town guests or go there for a special occasion such as a birthday or anniversary.. I will say, though, the bathrooms are well appointed and spotlessly clean.
