Confederate armory slowly falling apart
While personally I am not a fan of the south and their maintenance of confederate sites, I'm sure native Americans feel the same way about little big horn and Mt Rushmore. It's interesting to see this huge armory, slowly deteriorating but obviously a formidable building and strength point for the south during the civil war.

Historic Remnant
Historic remnant of Civil War. In June 1864 the Confederate army moved their Richmond Carbine Factory from Virginia to an old Tallassee cotton mill. It began manufacturing Confederate carbines. At wars end, the Tallassee Armory was the only one not destroyed during the Civil War. Stop and see. History is indeed all around us.

Devastation
There is nothing left to see. Two stories of remarkable stonework which have survived the pillaging and mismanagement of the town. You can view it from the bridge which crosses from the former artillery to the historic mill, however both have been pillaged and burned.
