5.0Jocassee Lake Tours(450 reviews) - Lovely time on the lake Tuesday: 9:00 AM - 5:00 PM Multi-day Tours • Boat Tours • Private Tours • Nature & Wildlife Tours • Kayaking & Canoeing
What a wonderful time we had on the sunset cruise. Sheryl guided us around part of the lake sharing the history, geology, and info about the plant and animal life along the shore. There was an opportunity to swim in a small cove which has a waterfall. It was a relaxing time spent on a gorgeous lake topped off with a lovely sunset over the mountains which reflected on the water. Just beautiful.See more..
4.5Sea Screamer(385 reviews) - Definitely do this! Boat Tours
This was the highlight of our vacation! The staff was incredibly nice, attentive, and informative. The boat ride was fun - the wind felt cool and the mist from the water was nice. We saw at least a dozen dolphins! The boat was full but didn't feel uncomfortable. We sat on the front row and it was great but next time we might try sitting at the very front of the boat. The boat's captain was entertaining and made sure to give each side of the boat equal dolphin viewing time. All ages were on board and everyone seemed to really enjoy the trip. My family loved it and would definitely go again. I would advise arriving early so you can choose the best place to sit. We arrived 45 minutes early and were probably around 30th in line and so we were able to sit under the cover (in the shade).. Anyone after we arrived had to sit in full sun.See more..
What an amazing experience!! Our captain and his mate were wonderful!! Very knowledgeable about the area and offered to take our picture (with our phone). The ride itself was awesome! Beautiful boat. Comfortable seating. And then...the Dolphins OMG...so fun watching them jump the waves behind the boat. They love to play, the minute we spotted them and took off, here they came jumping and twirling. There were a family w 2 little ones. The adults were teaching the babies to jump. I HIGHLY recommend this experience. You will remember it for a very long time to come. See more..
5.0St. Phillips Island Ferry(169 reviews) - Wonderful day trip Boat Tours • Private Tours • Nature & Wildlife Tours • Day Trips
Our group of 6 (4 adults, 1 teen and 1 tween) had a great time and highly recommend if you’re in the Beaufort SC area. We were staying on Fripp Island so it was a quick trip to Hunting Island State Park where we met a park ranger who took us to the boat landing across the street where we met the naturalists from Coastal Expeditions. Claire from Coastal Expeditions did a fantastic job explaining the ecosystem as the ferry made its way to the island. She also led us to the beach by tram, pointing out more along the way. Wear sunscreen, bug spray, comfortable shoes.See more..
We took the tour that takes you through the Pinapolis Locks. The Captain was so informative and the ride through the lock was amazing. You start out on the Tailrace Canal and ride over to the Lock where the water level rises 75 feet and you are then in Lake Moultrie. It truly is an engineering marvel. The trip was only offered in October this year and we are so happy we got to go on this amazing experience.Either before or after the trip be sure to have a meal at Gilligan’s Restaurant!See more..
5.0Aquafun Paddle & Boat Charters(62 reviews) - Such an AMAZING company! Tuesday: Boat Tours • Waterskiing & Jetskiing • Gear Rentals • Stand Up Paddleboarding • Kayaking & Canoeing
I absolutely love booking with AquaFun! I booked with them for the first time in 2016 and even to this day they still remain very professional, fun, and reasonably priced. My friends and I went out this past Saturday with Captain Tyler and we all had the times of our lives. Captain Tyler was such a blast and before we ended the tour, we booked again for July! It's that great of a time. What I like the most about these tours is that everything is on our time during the time that we book for. The Captain was super easy going and truly took care of us! All I can say is BOOK! BOOK! BOOK! You WON'T regret it!See more..
Booked to go out for a day trip from Harbourtown Hilton Head Island. Cost of round trip $29.50pp which was good value as it was a pleasant 30 minute boat trip both ways on a comfortable boat, saw plenty of wildlife - birds and dolphins. We elected to rent a golf buggy to explore Daufuskie at $30pp ($60 for a buggy). Buggy we got was a bit dilpatated and regularly backfired - speed nothing above about 4-5mph so it took quite a while to get around the island. The sights we visited were well signed and interesting. Only one place to get a coffee - by the ferry stop and that was only instant coffee at $2.50 a cup - expensive. The island is worth a visit but don't get the golf buggy. There is a guided bus tour - but we never saw the bus once whilst we were on our travels so not sure where it went. - cost for that was about $20 each. No restrooms anwhere on the island apart from in coffee shop at ferry.See more..
4.5Jocassee Keowee Rentals LLC(26 reviews) - Worry free day on Lake Jocassee - with Keowee -Jocassee rental pontoon hire. Tuesday: 9:00 AM - 6:00 PM Boat Tours • Gear Rentals • Boat Rentals
Very helpful and worked with our needs. There were 6 in our group, suggested the size pontoon that would suit our needs based on what we stated we wanted to do. Honest, didn't try to overcharge us with something we didn't need. We had 3 dogs (pets allowed) for an extra fee. Choice of how many hours we wanted to hire. Pontoon in the water ready for us, and staff there to greet us on the day. Quick education on the running of the pontoon, ( not complicated). Cooler provided which we didn't know beforehand. Minor issue. Had no issues the whole day and had great time. Staff at the dock when we came back in. Only pay for fas used. Great day, highly recommended company.See more..
We were looking for a place to eat on Easter, so we decided to go out on the Spirt, We've been out before, had a good time, so we went again, It's nice to be out on the water, and be able to relax, one thing we always worried about was drunk boaters on the water, being on the spirit is much safer, the boat is steal hull, and a large boat, so if someone hits it, well that's bad for them. The food was good and the staff was friendly.See more..
5.0Southern Outlaw Adventures(16 reviews) - Highly recommend Kevin with Southern Outlaw Adventures for the Lake Jocasse Tour! Boat Tours • Fishing Charters & Tours • Private Tours • Day Trips
We had a great time touring Lake Jocasse with Kevin at Southern Outlaw Adventures. We had contemplated renting a boat and exploring the lake ourselves but it was almost the same price as a 4 hour tour. We were able to sit back and relax while Kevin took us to all the must-see spots on the lake. Some were tucked away and would have been difficult to find by ourselves. He was super knowledgeable about the lake and area. This tour was the highlight of our trip!See more..
We rented 2 kayaks for 24 hours. It was the best decision ever! I had never been kayaking before, so I had a ton of questions. Lakyn, from Fish Eagle, was absolutely amazing she answered all my questions and even settled all my fears. She is extremely knowledgeable, and super friendly. She deserves a raise and employee of the month! I think I have found my new hobby! I can't wait to do this again next year!See more..

5.0Pontoon Rentals & Tours(2 reviews) - Boat tour to see Lake Murray and Purple Martins on island bird sanctuary Tuesday: 8:00 AM - 9:00 PM Boat Tours
We took a 2 hour boat tour with friends to see the shore line of Lake Murray and the bird sanctuary on Bomb Island, which is in the middle of the lake. The island was originally used by the Armed Forces for target practice during World War II. Lake Murray is the largest man made lake in the world, and has over 700 miles of shoreline. Purple Martins are present in the bird sanctuary from May to September. We saw them flying in to roost at dusk by the thousands. It was a spectacular, unforgettable sight that would be particularly meaningful to bird enthusiasts. The boat captain has lived on Lake Murray for 40 years, and has in-depth knowledge of the lake, as well as many of the people who live on the shoreline. He piloted the boat and made the trip a pleasure.See more..
5.0Lake Marion Watersports(2 reviews) - Fun on the Water!! Tuesday: 9:00 AM - 5:00 PM Boat Tours • Boat Rentals • Self-Guided Tours & Rentals
Took my family, and future son in-law to Lake Marion for the day. Donna and her husband were great! Not only did we get a boat that fit our needs on the lake and rented 2 waverunners but a great price too. They gave us great directions about the lake and dangers. (including DNR patrolling of the cove) Boats were very clean and ran great. Everyone had a smile on there face all day. Already talking about going back soon.See more..
Jocassee Adventures is a really nice place to get hooked up for fun on, and in, beautiful Lake Jocassee - a perfect mountain lake. I've personally visited 5 of the waterfalls on this lake and even kayaked behind one of them! I mentioned in the lake because these friendly folks are the ones to go to for SCUBA diving in the area (Lake Jocassee and Lake Keowee depending on the time of year). It's always a treat to enjoy the scenery during the boat ride across the lake to the dive site and then slip into the cool water in the shadow of the cliff wall. If you're not SCUBA certified but would like to be they'll be glad to get you in one of their classes. They also have complete equipment rentals and compressors for air and nitrox fills. I also want to mention that these folks are super-friendly and helpful which is why they earn my repeat business year after year.See more..
My adult son and his girlfriend were visiting from up North and I wanted to do something a little different for them. I've never done a charter before but contacted Carolina Fishing Adventures and I'm very glad I did. Captain Shannon O'Quinn operates a top notch charter service. He is friendly, dependable, very knowledgeable of the local waterways and most importantly we caught nice big redfish. We were the first charter on his beautiful new East Cape flats boat and also the first to put fish on it ! He supplies the gear, bait, water and ice just bring a lunch. I highly recommend Carolina Fishing Adventures for the serious angler or novice fisherman.See more..
