    Township Auditorium image
We decided to go see REO SPEEDWAGON and the closest concert was 500 miles in Columbia, SC at the Township Auditorium. Upon arriving, it looked like a gymnasium. And found out it only held 3000 people. Very skeptical. But after entering, was amazed at layout. There was not a bad seat in the house. Seats were roomy and everything was very accessible. Learned not to judge a book by it's cover. See more..

    Greenville Theatre image
Wife and I attended a screening of "The Play That Goes Wrong" as a part of the Greenville Newcomers Club. The theater is excellent - every seat is a good one. Looks to be pretty new, and easy parking too. The play was pretty funny - a murder mystery, but just about everything about the production manages to go wrong, from sticky doors to missing props, etc. Very well done. The cast and crew are all locals. This particular play runs Oct 21 to Nov 13, 2022. Play was just about 2 hours including intermission. See more..
  13. 4.5 The Big E (28 reviews)
    - MOVIE THEATRE, BOWLING, PUTTING, ALL IN ONE PLACE.
Spent 2-3 hours Bowling Alleys • Movie Theaters • Game & Entertainment Centers
    The Big E image
Bowling alley, movie theatres, an outdoor Pirate themed putting course, video game room ( where you dont really see many people going to) and more. Ideal for groups or a place to drop the teens off on the weekends. It is located in the same area as the famous Gaffney Premium Outlet where Michael Kors, Guess, Gap and others have stores. Fairly clean, patrolled, and spacious. On an average weekend you will see plenty of families having a good time, bowling or at the theaters. If you do both shopping and heading out to The Big E, expect to spend several hours. The premium mall is HUGE, with over 70 premium stores, It is one heck of a workout. But once you are at the Big E, you can relax more as they have more places to sit. I do recommend parents stay with younger children it you go to the putting course. There is an above ground walk that could pose a danger to some. See more..

    - Excellent Downtown Venue
    Theaters
    Old Town Amphitheater image
One of our favorite performers was booked here, so we decided it was time for a road trip. We knew little about Rock Hill and had never heard of this venue, but what a great surprise! High-5's are due all around to the city fathers or the civic group responsible for this facility and events. It's a beautiful intimate outdoor facility, well terraced so that all seats have an excellent view of the stage. It is small enough that there are no bad seats, but large enough that the seating is not cramped. The event was well organized and extremely well run, with plenty of staff spread around to assist with seating and questions. Ample free parking was available close to the facility. Old Town Amphitheater is a great example of how to revitalize a downtown area. See more..

  19. 4.5 Harbison Theatre (19 reviews)
    - Nice, cozy theater!
    Tuesday: 9:00 AM - 4:00 PM Theaters
    Harbison Theatre image
This is a small theater located on the Midlands Technical College campus in Irmo, in the Columbia, SC metro area. My wife and I attended the performance of Farewell Angelina (a group made up of 4 females) and found it to be a very pleasant venue. It is relatively small but there are no bad seats, the sound is good and the seats are comfortable. There are limited concessions available and, if you buy their cup which has a lid, you can bring the drink into the theater itself. In addition to the production that you are there for, there are also art and sculptures displayed in the common areas and I imagine those change periodically. Tickets are generally inexpensive and parking is plentiful and free. See more..

  24. 4.5 Cinemark Movies 8 (14 reviews)
    - Great Price For New Movies
    Movie Theaters
I’m seriously tempted not to write a positive review simply because I don’t want so many people going that I can’t get tickets. Honestly, I can’t understand why anyone would go to a more pricey theatre. The facility isn’t fancy. But it is clean and the seats are comfortable enough to sit through a movie. No, they don’t recline and they don’t have head rests. But how much is that worth for two hours? Concessions are a reasonable price for movie theatre standards. They show new movies at the same time they come to the expensive theatres. And there is a delicious and inexpensive restaurant next door for before/after the movie. What isn’t there to love?
