Four of us walked from the Greenville Zoo back to Falls Park in downtown Greenville, and we used this trail/Greenway. It was a fairly lengthy walk, but in the Fall it was lovely. There are also some nice things to see along the way. See more..

The North Augusta Greeneway System is beautiful, well maintained, paved, well marked, safe, and enticing. The landscape often changed and there was never a dull moment. Well worth our trip to North Augusta. I wish every city could provide trails comparable to these! See more..

    - Downhill is fun, uphill.....

We are visiting Asheville and since we enjoy doing these trails we drove down. It’s pretty easy to find and really nice bathrooms at the Market Pavilion. There is also a really great playground that was in use by families. On the trail are several benches to sit and rest although not always in shaded or pretty areas with views. I saw one tire repair station with water refill, which is nice if you need it! We have lived in Florida for the past year which is flat so we have found the hills around NC/SC challenging! The downhill parts are lots of fun as the trail is in great condition and is wide. The uphill parts, well a few of them I thought were never going to end. After I finished I felt accomplished. The trail was very busy the day we were there with families biking and lots of walkers/runners. If I lived around here I would be here frequently. See more..
  4. 4.5 Hamilton Branch State Park (30 reviews)
    - We Love the peace and tranquility here
Spent More than 3 hours State Parks • Biking Trails
    Hamilton Branch State Park image
We just booked our third visit to Hamilton Branch. Both of our previous stays were just the best. The park has over 150 lakefront camping sites. All are very spacious. As others have pointed out, be sure to look at the campground map before you book so you know where your nearest bathhouse is. We love to reserve a site at the end of one of the south-facing fingers that reach out into the lake. The views are spectacular, sunset and sunrise do not flood the site with bright light, and the satellite connectivity is very good. The sites have heavy tree cover from tall pines, which let light in, but provide good shade when needed. There are 173 sites with water and electric that will accommodate RVs up to 35 or 40 feet long. We like our space and quiet. We have found that, even when there are a lot of campers present, the noise levels are very acceptable since everything is so spread out. The staff at the park is friendly and extremely helpful. - Impressive!

    Giordana Velodrome image
There are only about 29 velodromes in the US. This one is open to the public and is managed by the Rock Hill Parks & Rec department. It is beautiful, clean, fast, and the people there are wonderfully friendly and eager to help you get started. Special equipment is needed, you cant just brink your bike from home and ride. But they have all that you need, will train you on how to use it and will provide lessons and mentoring to get you started. Truly a wonderful benefit of living in Rock Hill! Even if you dont have time or equipment, it is a great place to visit just to see it in action! See more..
