Sunrise at Pretty Place shouldn't be missed. It's about an hour's drive from Greenville. Plenty of parking at Pretty Place. Most people are taking photos of the glorious sunrise but everyone was respectful of others. Check campgreenville.org before you go to make sure there's not an activity booked. When we were there a couple was having engagement photos taken. Caesar's Head and Jones Gap state parks aren't far away so plan to take some time to visit those also. See more..

I think my sister found this place on a website named something like Roadside Oddities. The hours available were published and we arranged to arrive during their Thursday night hours. We were able to find a dining room area where several people seemed to be wrapping up an evening meal of pizza etc. We asked around and found a very nice man who took us to the Upper Room. The entire experience was a bit disappointing for a few reasons: 1. having to ask to be admitted. 2. the Upper Room had been used for a meeting or something and was kind of in disarray. 3, The fellow who took us up there did not offer to tell us anything about the room. The room really is impressive, though! See more..

The new church can now hold all of the parishioners in just 2 or 3 services now. Modern design without feeling 'modern', if that makes sense. See more..

This is an awesome place to visit! It is Beautiful, Peaceful and relaxing! I would suggest taking plenty of bottled water, maybe even a picnic. It took us around 3 hours and that was including meeting a monk and having several conversations with people their. We also took part in a Buddhist prayer/incense offering! Very educational. Please respect the monks and workers! Don't leave trash! Don't be loud! No photos or videos of the monks or people working there! Take your family and enjoy the day! Saturdays and Sundays 10 am until 5 pm. See more..

Grace is a place where you can come to learn about God and feel comfortable. It's a place filled with people who want to be real and sincere about their walk with Him. We love to see broken people restored, that is why it is important to us to extend mercy, grace love and acceptance to all who come in. It's in our hearts to love people to wholeness. We are a multi-cultural church. See more..

Many would greatly enjoy even a 30 minute visit. I spent nearly 2 hours there & had great talking with Diana Roof, museum site manager. When I went to The Citadel for college in 1962, I had ZERO awareness of antisemitism because Jews and were such a prominent part of our community. One display in the museum excellently affirms this. Great summary of Jews in S. C. as well as many of the Sumter families. The Temple with seating area & alter and plaques of deceased members is part of the museum. If possible, I highly recommend a call ahead to see if Diana will be on site. See more..
